We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!
This Sunday I’ve got two books on and I’ve spent the day in bed with both!

I’m reading Royal Rebel with Julie → 71%!
📖 SYNOPSIS
A PRINCE fighting to save a princess
A SERJAH torn between duty and desire
A PRINCESS willing to sacrifice everything
A DECOY with nothing to lose
A WORLD about to be torn apart
After his father’s latest punishment, Grayson isn’t at his full strength. Trapped in Ryden and surrounded by enemies, he knows escaping with Mia will be more complicated than anticipated. Tyrell is determined to claim Mia for himself, and Henri’s plans for the rest of Eyrinthia are more horrific than Grayson ever imagined. Despite the increased danger, he and Mia must return to Mortise and warn Desfan of what’s coming—even though it may already be too late.
In Mortise, the palace is still reeling from the brutal attack that left many dead and even more wounded. Regardless of the chaos, Desfan is determined to continue with his coronation. As serjan, he hopes to bring stability to his country and solidify the peace with Devendra. But things in Eyrinthia are always complicated. When Prince Liam reveals they may be facing dangers from old enemies, Desfan will have to decide what kind of ruler he will be.
Devastating news from home has left Clare broken. Despite her heartache, she must once again be Serene’s decoy when a terrifying report sends the princess on an unexpected mission to Zennor. Left at the palace, Clare helps Desfan build trust with the elite in Mortise while guarding a treasonous secret. Because as her grief transforms into a burning desire for vengeance, she is finally ready to embrace a new role—rebel.
Eyrinthia is consumed by uncertainty. Duty. Desire. Sacrifice. Every rebellion has its cost.

I just started Lizzie’s Best Mistake → 33%
📖 SYNOPSIS
Lizzie has made endless mistakes. Kitchen fires, pyramid schemes, bangs (of the hair and human variety), you name it, she’s done it… and made a mess of it too. One mistake she’s never made is letting anyone get closer to her than a single hook-up. But after losing yet another bakery job due to her uncontrolled ADHD, she breaks her cardinal rule and has a two-night-stand that changes everything.
Once burned, twice shy, Rake has given up on relationships. And feelings. And any form of intimacy for that matter. Yet something about charming, chaotic Lizzie has him lowering his guard. For two nights, that is. Then it’s back home to Australia and far away from the pesky feelings Lizzie pulls from him. But when Lizzie tells him she’s got an unexpected bun in the oven, he’ll do whatever it takes to be a part of his child’s life… except be emotionally vulnerable, obviously. He’s never going to make that mistake again.
Through a series of mishaps, totally “platonic” single bed sharing, and an underground erotic baking scheme, Lizzie and Rake learn that even the biggest mistakes can have the most beautiful consequences.

It was a pretty low-key uneventful week. Not much happened except my usual routine of work, eat, sleep(ish) and repeat. The fasting month started two Fridays ago and since many of my colleagues are fasting, the pace of work has slowed down and the work days have gotten a bit shorter. Other than that, things have been pretty business as usual!

On books: It’s been slow but it’s been consistent. I’m not the book juggler that I once was. I’m still looking for a book to pull me out of this slumpish feeling!
On blogging: I’ve noticed that views and visits to my blog are staying pretty consistent but engagement has also dipped a lot and I wonder if people are feeling the same way I am with everything—slightly “burned out”? I’ve fallen a bit behind again this week with blog hopping and engaging! 🫣

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

I don’t think I’m feeling “burned out,” but lately I’ve focused most of my blog time on creating content, which means I have less time to blog hop. I still try because it’s important, but I hope everyone understands! I also felt a little stressed with ARCs these past couple weeks, which impacted my blog hopping, too. It’s not like I had a ton, but it was enough for me to feel a little mental stress about it all.

I totally get what you mean! Some days I feel like I’m just doing the bare minimum to get by and I know every time I mention it other bloggers say they totally understand (especially since this is a hobby and what we do for fun) but I do still feel guilty when I can’t get around to blog hopping as much! I’ve stopped requesting ARCs because I’m just horrible with getting to them on time and that also adds to my guilty feelings—even with the ones I’ve already requested so I totally get your feelings. 😂 I have to say, your content is always great though and I always enjoy reading your posts! 😃

I hope you’re enjoying Lizzie Blake. That one was a little wild, but good. I love that TS song!

I am! It is definitely a little wild but Lizzie has grown on me and I love Rake! 🥹 Their dynamic is exactly what I love in romance! And yes, Midnights (3AM) has been playing on repeat again for me this past week. SO GOOD!

I loved Lizzie! Of the two books from that series (that I have read), it was my favorite. I hope you enjoy Lizzie’s story

I’m enjoying it so far! Lizzie is a little wild but I feel so much for her character and Rake is just *swoon*! 😍 I still haven’t read the first book in the series but I can’t wait to pick it up lol

My thing was that Rake really saw her when many were not able to. They were a great pair

Yeah, I don’t know what’s going on in with the global juju but it’s been kinda funky. I hope the ‘burned out’ feeling goes away soon though! I haven’t got that far into Lizzie but I am enjoying it! Lizzie’s a little wild and a bit of a tornado but I’m loving the dynamic between her and the MMC, Rake. He’s so sweet! It’s also very steamy—more than I expected, but I personally don’t mind! 😂 I hope April treats you kindly too, Andi! 💜

I think with Spring coming for a lot of us, engagement drops a little bit. At least, that’s what I’ve noticed because that’s what happens to me. I get so busy and don’t have as much time. Plus, Oliver is starting soccer and tball this week!! haha

It’s kinda funny how that happens during certain months. Jan/Feb are usually some of my best months but this year has been funky due to my absence and lack of engagement! 😂 But I do notice around this time or at least around April/May-ish engagement does decrease! And OMG! I hope Ollie has so much fun with soccer and tball! That’s awesome 😃

Yeah, it always lacks when it gets nicer out because we are so sick of the cold and just want to be outside. I will garden and stuff and have to split that with reading/blogging. Now, we will have sports. His first soccer practice was cancelled tonight because it’s been storming everyday. He was so bummed!

My blog hopping is pretty consistent during the week but the weekends is where I falter lol. The nice weather has me outside and away!

It used to be the opposite with me but since this year has been incredibly wild (in not the best way, lol) I feel like it’s consistently not great 😂 But I’m trying to get back into it! I hope the weather continues to be nice and you have a great week ahead, Joanna!

I’m hoping to read Frost’s series soon. My engagement has been down lately just because I’ve been so busy. I can’t seem to find enough hours in a day. LOL!

My blog hopping has not been the greatest, either. 🤦♀️ Since I participated in a readathon last month, I spent all my free time reading and creating review posts for ARCs. I always feel terrible, too, when blog hopping is what I let slack off. I have to remind myself that it happens to everyone. 😍 Have a great week, Dini!

I’ve been the same for views and such for a quite a while. I think in general websites/longform content isn’t what’s the cool “it” trend right now. That belongs to TikTok. But since I’m not into that, I just keep plugging away at what I prefer and hope someday it’ll reverse. 🙂 Hope you enjoy some great reads this week!

I hope you enjoy Lizzie Blake, I really did. I like that Taylor Swift song, it is definitely catchy. I am struggling to keep up the blog hopping, Dini, but just because I am reading so much and trying to get reviews written. I took today to try and catch up on them, but I still have a long way to go. Hang in there.

My blog hopping has dropped off a lot in recent months. Some of it concerns the fact that I’m trying to spend less time on my laptop, as I spend 8 hours a day at work staring at a computer. But I’m also trying to be more present when my family is around, and I don’t always feel like I can do that when I’m on my laptop. My husband occasionally suggests we work on our separate hobbies together. Meaning we are at the table together, me blogging and him drawing. Maybe I’ll share some of his drawings on my blog at some point. I wonder what he would think of that?
