I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed with Royally Not Ready by Meghan Quinn. This is an ARC for next week and I got to 10% when I started reading this morning and already read a line that was FIRE. 🔥 Woo, MQ is bringing the heat again—and you know we’re here for it! 😉

I’ve spent a good chunk of my Sunday reading Seven Days in June by Tia Williams. Leslie and I have been planning to read this together for ages and we finally decided to dive in yesterday! Ngl, I’m a little obsessed. It’s so raw and emotional and it has my feelings all tangled in a knot and sitting heavy in my chest and OOF, I love it! 🥹

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night reading a historical romance that I recently added to my TBR: A Governess Should Never Tempt A Prizefighter by Emily Windsor. I’ve read two of Windsor’s books before and always enjoy her writing, characters and romance! This’ll be a nice break from the fantasy I’ve been reading lately.

Birthstone Book Covers: July Ruby Edition ♥️

Hello friends, I’m back today with another month’s edition for The Birthstone Book Covers series created by one of my favourites, Leslie @Books Are the New Black. This is a series she created at the start of 2022 and was born out of her curiosity about birthstone colours and it’s a fun way to show different book covers/titles corresponding to that month’s birthstone. It’s a fun and easy tag that I’ve really enjoyed participating in so far. 😊

The July birthstone is the gorgeous ruby! A few covers sprang to mind when I saw this colour but I wasn’t sure that I could find more than three—spoiler alert: I did! 😂 These are a mix of TBR and read books but they’re mostly from my TBR.

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night reading The Jasmine Throne. I’ve been looking forward to reading this for a while now because I’ve heard so many amazing things about it. I’m reading this with Jess and we’re both not far into it yet but I’m very intrigued so far and I can’t wait to read more!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed with The Inadequate Heir by Danielle L. Jensen. It’s the third book in The Bridge Kingdom series but it’s about a new couple and I’ve been excited to read about them ever since they were introduced in the second book. I’m buddy reading this with Leslie and Julie and I can’t wait to chat to them about it!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed with Radio Silence by Alice Oseman. This is my first full-length novel by Oseman and I’ve been looking forward to reading it ever since hearing all the great reviews for it. I’m 23% in and I’m enjoying it so far but I’m not fully connecting with the MC. I’m buddy reading this with Leslie but I’m very behind! 😬

Birthstone Book Covers: June Alexandrite Edition 💚💜

Hello friends, I’m back today with another month’s edition for The Birthstone Book Covers series created by one of my favourites, Leslie @Books Are the New Black. This is a series she created at the start of 2022 and was born out of her curiosity about birthstone colours and it’s a fun way to show different book covers/titles corresponding to that month’s birthstone.

Check out my Birthstone Book Cover: May Edition!

I have very little clue about birthstones in general so I had no idea that June several to choose from. I decided to go with the Alexandrite stone that changes colours depending on when you observe it; so sometimes it’ll look purple and other times it’ll look dark green/turquoise. Cool, huh? I had to dig a little deeper into my read list to get to some of these covers but I’m surprised how many I managed to find! I also really enjoyed all these books so I’m quite happy with this list.
