#WWWWednesday: 29 March 2023

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

I’ve only managed to finish one book since last week.

Last Sunrise in Eterna by Amparo Ortiz

★★¾ – This had a really strong start but it was not what I expected. While I did enjoy elements of it, much of the story felt rushed and underdeveloped, plus, I didn’t feel any connection to the characters either. I’m sad I didn’t love it more!

I’ve got a few reads on at the minute and two of them are buddy reads!

  • A Marvellous Light → 40% → BR w/ Leslie! This had a slow start but I’m loving these two and the mystery! This definitely gives ‘cosy-ish’ vibes.
  • (ARC) Royal Rebel → 10% → BR w/ Julie! We both got this ARC from the author and even though it’s been a while since my last read of this series, it’s been great jumping back into this world. The angst/tension is real! 😂
  • (KU) What Was Meant to Be → 30% → So, I’d seen this circulating on romance book Twitter lately and even though I knew it wasn’t really my jam (cos of the tropes), my curiosity got the best of me and I picked it up since it was on KU. All I’ll say so far is that it’s giving what it said it would! 🤷🏻‍♀️

The magic of ✨mood reading✨ means it could be any of these.

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends! 😍

    • The curiosity gets to me every time, Sam! 😂 Sometimes it’s a win but mostly, I think, the books just end up not being for me! But it’s nice to branch out on occasion especially when you find something you end up unexpectedly really enjoying. 🙂

    • Ooh, I can’t wait to pick up the second book already but it’s so expensive right now. I’m gonna have to wait it out a bit and see where the price goes, lol. 😂 I’m so glad that by the time I pick up the next book the series will probably be done!

    • I ended up really enjoying it (perhaps a bit more than Leslie) but I totally agree that it was a bit of a struggle at the start. Something about the writing also kept tripping me up for some reason but overall, a great start to a new series. I can’t wait to read on 😃
