I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed with Paladin’s Strength by T. Kingfisher. After finishing (and loving) the first book, Leslie and I decided to continue our buddy read of this series. This might surpass the first as my favourite. Istvhan and Clara have such great chemistry, and the tension between them is *chefs kiss*! The pining is truly superior. ๐
What book do you have in bed with you this Sunday?
This past week was simultaneously fast and slow. The days at the office felt like they were passing at a glacial pace, but at the same time, I can’t believe how quickly time is actually moving. I mean, how are we halfway through June already?!
As I’m writing this, I’m also in Bali because June means it’s time for the annual family get-together in Bali to celebrate my nan’s birthday. It’s mad to think she’s turning 95 in two days! Unfortunately, though, with my current office situation being what it is, I’m not taking leave, but I have to work while everyone has fun at the beach. I want to say that I could work at the beach, but alas, the temptation to jump into and stay in the water would be too much to resist. ๐ซฃ Even working poolside would be too tempting with the sun, amazing breeze, and this view:
Yay for me, I finally finished yesterday! ๐ Sadly, I still haven’t been super active on the blogosphere yet. I’m just hanging on until the end of June, after which I know I’ll have lots more time as I’ll be unemployed, LOL. ๐๐

The Cure is my all-time favorite band! Love Robert Smith! I hope you have a safe and wonderful trip to Nan and happy birthday to her! Your job situation must be stressful. Good or bad, at least you will know something by the end of the month.

I hope you enjoy your time with your family in Bali, even though you will be working some of the time. I hope you figure out by the end of June what you will be doing next and it will be less stressful. I love the cover on Paladin’s Strength. I am reading two books right now: Accidentally Amy by Lynn Painter (a romance) and Midnight Ridge by Rita Herron (a crime thriller).

I am loving this one more than the first one too!! I’m glad we chose to continue reading the series. I hope you do find some time to relax and enjoy time with family.
