Since last week, I finished two books.

^{Paladin’s Strength by T. Kingfisher, A Rather Vengeful Accord by Danielle Knight}

Paladin’s Strength (The Saint of Steel #2) by T. Kingfisher ★★★★¾
I didn’t expect to enjoy this more than the first book, but I adored it so much! Istvhan and Clara have such great chemistry and even though their story felt like a slower build-up, their banter was so good and I loved the different elements we get. The mystery from book one continues here and I really enjoyed learning more about that too. This is such a great series and I can’t wait to continue reading this series with Leslie 🥰

A Rather Vengeful Accord (The Hallowed Game #1) by Danielle Knight ★★★★☆
This was such a ride! I almost DNF this at one point but once I read past a certain chapter, things came together in such a great way. There was a delicious twist at the end that made me so glad this was a buddy read with Chris because I was screaming (reading on the plane too, lol)! It was so good and now we have to wait who knows how long until the second book 😂

^{Once Upon A River by Diane Setterfield, Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy}

Once Upon a River ⇢ 5% ⇢ I’ve had this on my TBR for 5+ years now and I started it on a whim today after re-reading the synopsis and something pinged in my brain. 😂 I’m not very far at all but I’m enjoying it so far and can’t wait to keep reading.
Wild Dark Shore ⇢ 19% ⇢ I saw this in the bookstore at the airport and it’s another one that I picked up on a whim. I’ve seen so much praise about it and my curiosity is 100% piqued. Very curious to see where this goes… The way nature is described in this is so visceral—mother nature feels like a character of its own. It’s beautiful and terrifying!
