#TopTenTuesday: Handwriting on the Cover

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Books with Handwriting on the Cover (Or fonts that look like handwriting. Titles, subtitles, covers with letters on them, etc.)

As tempted as I am to go rogue right now, I’m going to give this one my best shot! 😂 When I first saw this prompt I didn’t recall one cover that had fonts that look like handwriting, so let’s see how far back in the stacks I have to go to find ten! Will I even find ten?! Let’s see… 👀

The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang
The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo
The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy
The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
Bitter Medicine by Mia Tsai

No Matter What by Cara Bastone
Love at First Fright by Nadia El-Fassi
The Bone Raiders by Jackson Ford
If Not for My Baby by Kate Golden
Fan Service by Rosie Danan

Turns out, I didn’t have to go too far back to encounter my first ‘handwritten’ cover. What do you think of these fonts—do they also look like handwriting to you or is it just me? 😂 Have you read any of these or are they on your TBR?

  1. I went with some cursive-ish lettering or just pretty lettering in general! I know some art uses actual hand-drawn font which I think is cool, but I didn’t take the time to search for those. 🙂
