We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be wrapping up my Sunday in bed with I Will Find You Again by Sarah Lyu. This was a fast read! I got through the bulk of it yesterday and need to finish it up tonight for my spot on the blog tour tomorrow! This wasn’t what I expected and I really enjoyed it.
📖 SYNOPSIS
All the Bright Places meets Ace of Spades in this twisty teen thriller about finding a way to live after losing the one person who feels like home.
Welcome to Meadowlark, Long Island—expensive homes and good schools, ambition and loneliness. Meet Chase Ohara and Lia Vestiano: the driven overachiever and the impulsive wanderer, the future CEO and the free spirit. Best friends for years—weekend trips to Montauk, sleepovers on a yacht—and then, first love. True love.
But when Lia disappears, Chase’s life turns into a series of grim snapshots. Anger. Grief. Running. Pink pills in an Altoids tin. A cheating ring at school. Heartbreak and lies. A catastrophic secret.
And the shocking truth that will change everything about the way Chase sees Lia—and herself.
What are you currently reading?

I really don’t have much to update on this front as life has been a rinse and repeat of work and sleep and food, of course. I was massively relieved when Friday rolled around although it didn’t actually feel like a Friday somehow. I spent most of Saturday surprisingly napping through the day, which I haven’t done since I got COVID last year, but I guess my body really needed it.
Today I did something different and actually went out of the house, LOL! I met up with a few colleagues for a nice brunch (I had a delicious ‘All Day Breakfast’ meal) and drive around South Jakarta—there’s actually so much to see but I just have no idea where to even start. It was nice to be shown these places though and I’ve made note of them for future foodie/coffee trips!

On books: I’ve been reading, yay! I feel like I’ve been reading a bit more this week compared to the last and I’ve enjoyed a book outside of my comfort zone that was surprising (in a good way)! I also had fun doing a buddy read even though the book itself wasn’t great.
On blogging: I’ve been posting more consistently but am still floundering on the engagement front. Sorry, friends! I’ll get back to it soon, I’m sure…

It was delicious! I mean, honestly, it looks so simple to make at home and I don’t know why I never do… 😂

I love brunch. Your food looked yummy too. How nice to get a little tour and scout some new places. I am not that adventurous, so I can relate to needing people to do that for me. Hope you have a great week!

Brunch is great and this one was yummy! I’m looking forward to checking out some of the places that we passed by at some point. They all look so good but I also need motivation to get up and go 😂 I hope you have a great week as well, Sam!

Yay, it sounds like you got some much-needed rest and relaxation this weekend! So, I don’t typically like eggs but that looks really good. Maybe it’s the baby. haha. I hope you have a wonderful week. I’m so bummed about the buddy read but hopefully, Saint will be EONS better!! 😛

It was nice to get rest and also go out and do something a little different. I’m way too much of a homebody and the change of pace, while draining, was also quite nice 🙂 Haha, yeah, those eggs were really good! Have you had any weird cravings with bb? I don’t think I’ve asked you that yet! 😂 And YES, I can’t wait to buddy read Saint!

I am too. I always want to do cool things but then never want to leave my house. When my friends get me out, I enjoy my time. I say, I should do this more often and then I don’t. haha. No, not really. I really love sour candy- like sour punch straws and I’ve been eating so much broccoli cheese soup. HAHA! Those are probably my most consistent cravings. 😀

Omg, is this a Taurean thing!? Haha, perpetually lazy pls 🙃 I really frustrate myself sometimes, haha! And Ooh, sour candies are great! And YUM, broccoli cheese soup sounds great 😍 Definitely not the weird cravings that I’ve heard some people can get, haha

Haha, yeah.. I’m definitely not into the weird stuff, probably bc I’m pretty vanilla when it comes to regular eating. lol.

I read one book by Elise Bryant some time ago, but haven’t read her recent releases. I’ll check out your review!

It was good! I wanted a bit more from some of the character development but overall, a really great and realistic coming-of-age contemporary romance!

Yeah, I definitely don’t get out enough. I just get so lazy after going out to work every weekday and contending with the traffic, lol. The thought of doing that on the weekend makes my brain melt a little, ngl 😂

A nap and a fantastic brunch in one weekend? You are so lucky! I took a four-hour nap on Saturday that was only supposed to be 90 minutes (I slept right through my alarm!). I hope you have a good week.

I sadly don’t really nap anymore so I was super surprised that I napped a whole day away 😂 Naps are really so great, I’m glad you got to experience it too 😃 I hope you’ve had a good week so far, Pam!

Naps and brunch – two things I love! 🙂
And that’s great you’re reading a bit more, even if the books aren’t always the best!

Same here, even though I don’t do them as often as I’d like! And I totally agree, as much as I’d like to be reading all great reads, at least I’m reading something now, lol
