Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve managed to finish two books. I’m still not reading very much and I contribute that to my overstimulated and stressed-out brain but also to the fact that gaming seems to be what’s working for me right now!

Tessa Ever After (Reluctant Hearts #2) by Brighton Walsh ★★★★☆
This served everything I missed in the first book. Explosive chemistry, satisfying character growth and wonderfully heartfelt moments between Tessa and her daughter Haley, as well as with Jason (the MMC). If you love a MMC who falls first and who falls very hard for the FMC, you’ll enjoy this!
(ARC) Reggie and Delilah’s Year of Falling by Elise Bryant ★★★½
This was a cheesy but cute and realistic coming-of-age story that addresses some tough topics like racism and bullying through punk music and tabletop role-playing games (D&D). I thought it was a bit drawn out and wanted a bit more from one of the characters but overall, it was enjoyable! [Check out my review!]
(KU) A Dawn of Onyx (The Sacred Stones #1) by Kate Golden ★★★★☆
I’m so glad Julie’s review put this on my radar cos it was a really fun romantasy that served exactly what it said it would. I wanted a bit more from certain aspects of the world-building but I really liked the characters, especially our FMC and her bestie, and the MMC also had me pretty intrigued! I’d recommend it for those who enjoy slice-of-life action, steamy romance and all the romantasy vibes!

I’ve got two reads on at the minute:
- (ARC) Fake Dates and Mooncakes by Sher Lee → 20% → I’m buddy-reading this with Leslie & Julie. It’s very cute so far although it’s giving strong instalove vibes. Also, it’s making me REALLY hungry for all the Singaporean Chinese food! 🤤 I’m keen to see where it goes!
- (ARC) The Moth Keeper by Kay O’Neill → 60% → I’m planning to finish this graphic novel tonight for the blog tour tomorrow! I love Kay O’Neill’s work and stories so much. If you’ve read and enjoyed their Tea Dragon series then you’re bound to enjoy this one too!

The magic of ✨mood reading✨ means it could be any of these.

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends! 😍

Glad you liked A Dawn of Onyx! I’m looking forward to reading it at some point. First I need to get through some arcs lol.

I had a feeling you would like the second Brighton Walsh book more than the first. I’m glad I was right! I hope the series continues to get better for you. Happy reading!

I loved the second one so much! And I actually started the next book in the series between Adam and Paige and I didn’t think it would work but I think they *might* be my favourite couple. So far. I hope this ends well! 😂 Did you finish the series?

Glad your last experience with Walsh was just a blip. I feel like I am alone in that instalove doesn’t bother me. I would be happy to have someone instalove me. LOL

Haha, I mean, I know instalove probably happens in real life and if someone instaloved me and I felt myself heading in the same way, I’d definitely probably really appreciate and love it too 😂 But I don’t know why in novels it’s something that makes it a little unbelievable for me especially when things escalate so quickly… LOL

Thanks, Anoushka! I know I tend to be a little harsh on myself because I know I *want* to be reading but it’s just not happening and I tend to feel a little guilty when other things take its place. Silly, I know! 😂 But YES, IT IS GREAT THANKU!!!! 💜
