#TopTenTuesday: Bookish Characters I’d Love to Meet

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is Bookish People I’d Like To Meet (These can be authors, book characters, book bloggers/influencers, cover designers, cover models, etc.)

I’ve done one or two variations of this topic before and I wasn’t sure whether I was feeling up to doing it again because my brain capacity is low right now, but I’m also too tired to think of a new topic, so I decided to stick to this topic but I’ve made it easier for myself by narrowing it down to characters from my 2022 reads. This should be fun! These characters are a mix of mains and sides but all of them won my heart in some way and pretty much all of them had me cackling at some point! These are listed in the order of reading with the most recent first.

Sonmi-451 or Robert Frobisher from Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell
The ‘NPC’ from Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
Everyone from the Stay A Spell Series by Juliette Cross → shh, I know it’s cheating
Ox Matheson from Wolfsong by T.J. Klune
Bassareus from The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen

Gennie from In a Jam by Kate Canterbary
Mina & Shin from The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh
Mosscap from A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers
Thimble from Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree
Shae from Jade Legacy by Fonda Lee

Would you like to also meet any of these characters? Would you rather meet characters from fantasy worlds (not necessarily humans) or characters that come from our world (i.e. humans from historical fiction, contemporary/literary fiction or romance)?

    • Omg, I’d so love to see all three of these characters in the same room together. Bassareus would probably scandalize them both but Thimble would ply them with sweets and Ox would be so gentle with everyone and it’d be perfect!

  1. I’ve not read any of these but I’m glad you enjoyed them enough to want to meet characters from them. I think the majority of characters I’d want to meet would be from fantasy worlds but then I think that’s because for most of my life I’ve read majority fantasy so those are my favourite characters (plus, I’d just love to visit some fantastical worlds!).

  2. I’ve read almost all of these and loved them dearly. You chose a character that I probably would have too! haha. Great topic choice and I hope you are having a lovely week, Dini ❤
