Hello friends, I’m back today with another month’s edition for The Birthstone Book Covers series created by one of my favourites, Leslie. She began this at the start of 2022 and it was born out of her curiosity about birthstone colours. It’s fun to show different book covers/titles corresponding to that month’s birthstone. 🙂

March has two birthstones: aquamarine and bloodstone. I’ll be finding covers based on the aquamarine stone today!
That’s it for March’s Aquamarine. I actually found this colour much harder to match compared to other birthstones! Have you read many books with aquamarine covers? What’s your favourite?

I can’t think of many other covers this colour – just Hild by Nicola Griffith, I think – but I really love the shade of blue.

I spy Pack Up the Moon which was such a tearjerker! I loved Eight Perfect Hours too.

I actually started reading it and immediately found myself bawling in the first chapter? I wasn’t in the right mood at the time for something so emotional and angsty so I put it down but I think when I need something cathartic to help me get all my emotions out, I’m going to definitely pick it up 😂

It’s a sad sort of book. It’s about a woman reflecting on her impending death and her husband’s journey through that grief. BUT it includes celebrations of their life and love, and the ending is beautiful and hopeful. Yeah, one needs to be in the right head space to ingest such a story

I definitely get the sad book vibes and I don’t mind those but I just have to be in the right mood. It definitely sounds good though and I’ll be looking forward to whenever I’m ready to pick it up! 😂
