We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’m spending the rest of my Sunday in bed with Untethered Sky by Fonda Lee. I meant to read this much earlier than now since the pub day is just around the corner; however, I think if I had read it earlier it would’ve been a horrible reading experience as my brain was just. Not. There. Hopefully, I can get my review up for this tomorrow if not the morning of pub day!
📖 SYNOPSIS
From World Fantasy Award-winning author Fonda Lee comes Untethered Sky , an epic fantasy fable about the pursuit of obsession at all costs.
A Most Anticipated in 2023 Pick for Polygon | Book Riot | Paste Magazine
Ester’s family was torn apart when a manticore killed her mother and baby brother, leaving her with nothing but her father’s painful silence and a single, overwhelming need to kill the monsters that took her family.
Ester’s path leads her to the King’s Royal Mews, where the giant rocs of legend are flown to hunt manticores by their brave and dedicated ruhkers. Paired with a fledgling roc named Zahra, Ester finds purpose and acclaim by devoting herself to a calling that demands absolute sacrifice and a creature that will never return her love. The terrifying partnership between woman and roc leads Ester not only on the empire’s most dangerous manticore hunt, but on a journey of perseverance and acceptance.

🐣 Happy Easter, if you celebrate! 🐣
This was another pretty low-key week. I had a couple of dinners out with colleagues to break their fast after work and ate a lot of Japanese food. I also ended up spending a lot this week as I indulged in quite a bit of retail therapy (oop!) and even though I cringed a little bit when I ended up spending as much as I did… But I’m pretty happy with what I bought—including many books, a TS-esque oversized knit jumper, and new over-ear headphones—and this is basically all I’m spending in April. And yep, I’m totally aware it’s still the first week of the month, HAHA! 😂

On books: I’ve been reading! I’ve been on a bit of a romantasy/romance kick lately and really enjoying it. While most of the books didn’t “wow” me I did enjoy reading them at the time! I also finally updated my reading tracker spreadsheet and I FEEL SO ACCOMPLISHED! 😂
On blogging: It was actually a pretty decent week for me catching up on reviews as well as doing a bit of blog hopping. I got more in this long-weekend than I did the previous week and it made me glad that I put aside time to do it!

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

Life’s too short. If you can spare the cash, you should treat yourself. We should have some sort of reward for having to go to work and whatnot, right? Hope you have a great Sunday and week!

I need to dip back into the romantasy genre. It’s one of my favorites when done right but most of the time it is….not done right LOL

Haha, I get you. The ones I read definitely weren’t perfect and kind of irritated me at points but I ended up enjoying the overall reading experience and it gave what it said it would, so it wasn’t too bad for me. What’s one of your favourite romantasies?

Sometimes you just need a little retail therapy! I treated myself to quite a few book purchases last week. Did I need them? No. Do I have room? Also no. But too bad! lol!

Haha, we gotta love the book purchases! I also bought tons of books with no place to put them. I’m now that person with teetering book piles all over the room and it makes me a little anxious looking at them but not enough to stop me from buying more (help, lol)! 😂 Hope you have a great week ahead, Celeste!

You have me wanting to indulge in some retail therapy now. LOL! I’m seriously about to order some new headphones, though. My bestie just sent me a link for some to try. I get earaches if I wear the pods too often.

LOL, sometimes retail therapy is a lovely treat for yourself! 😍 I especially love new gadgets and I’m really chuffed with the new headphones I got. They were definitely pricey but I know I’m not going to be indulging in another new set for quite some time so YAY! I hope you find new headphones that don’t make your ears ache! 😃
