I’ll be spending Sunday night in bed with Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. I’ve had this book on my TBR for ages and I’m finally picking it up thanks to Leslie as we’re currently buddy reading it! It’s a bit of a slow start but I already love the mythology aspect of it so much!
What are you currently reading?
I flew to Bali on Wednesday and since then it’s been busy with family, friends and getting settled into the house. It’s incredibly hot and humid right now—even more so than usual, and I’m extra grateful to have a pool at home to beat the heat (not to mention AC)! As much as I complain about the heat, I do love all the natural sunlight and feel so lucky that we have such a nice family/vacation home in Bali! 🥰
Before I jetted off to Bali, I got some exciting book mail from Illumicrate and it had this beautiful edition of Gallant by V.E. Schwab. The sprayed edges are just stunning I almost don’t want to read it (but I will lol)! 🤣 The book is a lot smaller/thinner than I expected too!

I’ve had Gods of Jade and Shadow on my shelf for a while. I’m looking forward to seeing what you think of it. I’m glad you had a safe trip. Enjoy Bali! It looks very beautiful.

I hope you are having a great time with your family on vacation. It’s real April weather here with sun, rain and snow, but still I don’t know if I would want to trade for your humidity and heat.

Umm.. can I come visit and hang with you at the pool?!?! So jealous!! haha! Yay, for our buddy read but OMG that edition of Gallant is AMAZING!!!! Also- obsessed with Halsey… sooo great song. 🙂
