Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

It’s already past midnight as I’m preparing this post but I think I’ll spend the rest of my “Sunday night” with Heartbreak Symphony by Laekan Zea Kemp. I’m on an upcoming tour for this book and it looks/sounds so good and I’m totally excited to read it! 😃

What are you currently reading?

How is it already April? I’m gonna keep asking this question cos I really don’t know how the days, weeks and months pass so quickly! Not much has happened this past week and I’m happy that I got to slow down because I was definitely recovering from the past few weeks of stress. I’m leaving to Bali this coming Wednesday and I’ll be staying there for over a month and I haven’t started packing or preparing at all—welp! I’m excited but I’m also really going to miss my books and my doggos. I know time is gonna fly though.

I’m planning to send some books to Bali for my stay until the end of May and I have no idea what to bring. Why do I feel like I’m gonna want to read all the books on my shelf during the time I’m away (though we all know that’s truly never happening, lol!)? How do you usually pick books for trips away—do you have a system to choose which books to bring based on challenges or priorities? If you have any tips to share, I’d love to know!

ICYMI, here’s what I posted on the blog:

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and that you have a great week ahead! Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤

    • It was a great read! Took me a little bit to get into it but once I did it grabbed me by the emotions 🙈 I do read on a Kindle but I always love to have some book choices and I think I have a good selection of physical books to choose from hehe

  1. I’ve never had to pack for a very long trip but I will be going to Philadelphia and New York for 2 weeks in June. I think I’ll just take my ipad and read on my kindle app. But yeah for a month stay, I don’t know how I would pack books for that long a stay lol but I hope you bring some good ones and have a nice relaxing time!

  2. Heartbreak Symphony put me through many emotions, I hope you like it. I thought I was the only one who was feeling that the days are going so fast. April has been hot but I’m glad the days are going faster so I can say goodbye to summer soon. Have a wonderful time in Bali!!

    • Heartbreak Symphony was great! It really put me through all the emotions as well. I ended up tearing up quite a bit by the end (the perks of being an emotional reader?! Haha)! 🥲 Oof yeah, its been super hot in Jakarta and it’s even hotter in Bali—luckily there’s a pool and the beach 😃

  3. My system is usually to take books from different genres because I don’t know which mood I’ll be in. Not much of a tip, Dini! Sorry! 😂 I’m not a Shawn Mendes fan, but there’s something about that song. I’ve been listening to it a lot, lately.
I hope you have a great time in Bali, Dini!
