Since last week I’ve managed to finish six books. They were all romances, mostly holiday ones, and I loved almost all of them!
Homecoming King (Three Kings #1) by Penny Reid ★★★★☆ I wanted more the minute this book ended! I was hooked from the very first page and I loved Rex and Abby together. The sexual tension and (mutual) pining was intense! 🥵 I was sad Rex didn’t get a POV because that would’ve made it a solid 5-star read for me but I couldn’t be happier with their slightly cheesy but adorable HEA. RTC
Dipped in Holly by Dana Isaly ★★★★☆ Isaly delivers with a very steamy and kinky age-gap romance that admittedly had me hooked from the beginning. Even though there’s very limited character development, I really liked Nick & Holly together and I wouldn’t be mad reading more about them? If you’re looking for a fun and fast little holiday romance with a whole lot of steam, I’d recommend checking this out! RTC

The One Night by Meghan Quinn ★★★★☆ I had such a fun time with this book! I have to say Cooper’s quirky parents really stole the show with their wingmen act 😂 I couldn’t stop laughing even though I’d probably be as mortified as he was if my parents did that to me IRL. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Cooper and Nora after that ending! RTC.
Window Shopping by Tessa Bailey ★★★★½ This was probably one of the more festive holiday romances that I’ve read in a while! It definitely gave me the cosy and happy Love Actually vibes and I wanted to join this mixed family in their yearly holiday festivities because it sounded like so much fun! Mae was a fun heroine and Andrew was a swoonworthy hero and although things got a bit cheesy towards the end, it didn’t fail to warm my heart! My review

Since last week I’ve managed to finish five books. Most of them were holiday romances but I also finally read The Love Hypothesis and holy wow, I am smitten with this romance! Olive and Adam 4EVER! 🥺❤️
The Naughty, the Nice and the Nanny (Holiday Brothers #1) by Willa Nash ★★★½ This little novella was a fun and quirky holiday romance with characters that had great chemistry and a story with a good dose of touching family moments. While ultimately the romance ended up being very insta-love, it didn’t feel like it initially as our H/h built up a good foundation of trust and respect through their bond with the hero’s “angel” of a daughter, Violet. RTC.
In a Holidaze by Christina Loren ★★★★☆ This was probably one of the more festive holiday romances that I’ve read in a while! Since last week I’ve managed to finish five books. As usual, it’s been a bit of a mixed bag of romances from the romcoms to the paranormal reverse-harem erotica! 😂
Chef’s Kiss by Hank Jones & Jarrett Melendez; Illustrated by Danica Brine ★★★★★ I’ve found a new favourite graphic novel! This was simply too cute, too relatable, and basically, everything I love! We’ve got realistic friendships, a slow burn M/M romance, an awesome restaurant setting with lots of foodie goodness and a really endearing main character. I loved this so much! 😍 RTC closer to pub date!
A Not So Meet Cute by Meghan Quinn ★★★½ This started off really well for me—I liked the rom-com vibe and the cheeky and slightly antagonistic banter between Grace and Noah. Sadly, as the story progressed I found myself getting a little bored and I never felt fully invested in their romance. Though I did like their individual character development! RTC.
Wow, why does it feel like I just wrote my September wrap up… Yesterday? Anyone else or is it just me? 😂
I don’t know what happened in November. I feel like it was a pretty weird month as I fell into a bit of a funkier mood and lost motivation when it came to work, which eventually bled into pretty much all other aspects of my life. How dramatic! 🙈 But I honestly didn’t do much and nothing of note happened. I baked a bit, I ate at a restaurant for the first time since the second wave hit Indonesia in mid-2021, got obsessed with playing Zelda BOTW, and of course, obsessed over Taylor’s Version of Red. Better Man is my current favourite track from the vault, mostly cos the lyrics hit so close to home in maybe not the best ways, but as much as I’m an emotional reader, I’m also an emotional listener and this has me wrapped up in my feels!
I think I read 20 books in November! I feel like maybe I read a romance or two and didn’t note them and uh, forgot? 😂 Brain fog was kinda my November… I thought I got a little bit of my reading mojo back at one point but no, my reading mood has still been a little erratic and slump-ish even though I stopped gaming for a week+ thinking it would help (don’t think it did).
Surprisingly though I had THREE 5-star reads with a new favourite fantasy and a new favourite small-town romance series to add to my faves list! I think if I had to pick my favourite of the three, it’d be The Hand of the Sun King by J.T. Greathouse, which is an amazing fantasy debut. That said, Brighton Walsh had me wanting to set up in Havenbrook asap, please! 😂 So, I guess I really can’t choose between my 5-star reads? LOL!

Since last week I’ve managed to finish six books! I’ve been steamrolling through Brighton Walsh’s Havenbrook series and I’m sad that I’ve finished the series but undoubtedly had a fantastic time with the Haven sisters and their loves! 🥲
Anti-Stepbrother by Tijan ★★½ This was my first Tijan so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I liked how the friendship developed between the H/h but I found the heroine too manic-pixie and she spent way too long vacillating on her feelings over her douchey stepbrother. I also didn’t feel like we got enough of the hero for me to really care about him, plus this was very angsty and I didn’t like the girl-girl hate over idiots! Overall, I don’t think this was for me. Mini RTC!

Since last week I’ve managed to finish five books! Can someone please tell me how November is over in less than one week? I’m hoping to keep slashing books off my ARC Possibility Pile for #NetgalleyNovember but it’s not looking so hot… Hopefully, I’ll surprise myself! 😊
Guarding Temptation by Talia Hibbert ★★★★☆ Bless Talia Hibbert for writing such amazing diverse romances. I will read anything by her and at this point, she can do no wrong for me 😂 This novella packed a super-steamy, chemistry-laden punch and I was here for some favourite best friend’s little sister, friends to lovers, and the body guard tropes! 😍 RTC.
Jade Fire Gold by June C.L. Tan ★★¾? My first buddy read with Becky and we’re both on the same disappointed-mixed-feelings boat about this book. It was easy to read but it also didn’t have much depth and I wasn’t invested in any of the characters or the plot. I’d say it’s perfect for readers who don’t read much fantasy and don’t want complex world-building or characters; sadly, it just wasn’t for me. RTC.

Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian ★★★½ Getting into the minds of psychopaths has never been so… fun? This was an engaging and twisty wild ride and somehow you can’t help but root for these characters despite how terrifying they’d actually be to meet/know in real life?! Check out my review

Since last week I’ve managed to read a little and finished 3 books. It’s been difficult to focus on reads lately so I’ve been sticking with some romances and well, most of them didn’t ‘wow’ me but at least I’m reading something? That said, I haven’t written reviews for any of these books yet but I think I’ll write mini-reviews for them (soon)!
A Lesson in Thorns (Thornchapel #1) by Sierra Simone ★★☆☆☆ There was so much hype around this book and so I was curious enough to pick it up when it was on KU. Turns out it just wasn’t my cuppa. It did have a few interesting discussions on sex positivity, virginity as a social construct and the queer rep was great! Sadly, the kink wasn’t my thing but I was also just really bored… I didn’t connect with the characters at all, so I didn’t care about the mysterious manor and chapel, or the ritual they had to do! 🤷🏻♀️
Games We Play (One Night #1) by Dana Isaly ★★★★☆ This was another popular title I’ve seen a lot over the last few weeks and I’m glad I picked it up! Some of the kink was not for me but overall, it was undoubtedly steamy AF. 🥵 It’s a novella so obviously, I didn’t expect much in the way of character or plot dev but I really liked Quin and Jack and thought their chemistry was H-O-T. I also thought it was interesting that it was all through Jack’s POV! I can’t wait to continue the series and learn more about these men!
Follow by Tessa Bailey ★★★½ So, I think it was Nick who said “this book is horny” and well, yeah. That’s basically it 😂 Will Caruso is probably the filthiest hero I’ve ever had the pleasure to read and I mean, go off, sir! Tessa Bailey once again absolutely slays in delivering these filthy mouthed alpha heroes who want nothing more than to spoil their women in every. single. way. This is a book where sex is a big part of the plot so you definitely read it for the smut, though the characters weren’t awful and there was a reallyadorable doggo too! 😉

Since last week I’ve managed to read five books. I don’t know why it feels like I haven’t been reading anything but I guess compared to how much time I’m spending on gaming, it really feels like nothing! 😂
Pighearted by Alex Perry ★★★½ This was a surprisingly humorous and adventurous tale about a young boy with a heart condition and his brother, the pig, who has the heart that’s built to save him. I laughed quite a lot reading this and ultimately, it’s a feel-good story about family and how far you’d go to save someone you love! Check out my review.
Intolerable (ThePhoenix Club #3) by Darcy Burke ★★★½ Cass and Ruark were such a wonderful couple! There were defo some moments where I wanted to give Ruark a good ol’ shake but I shouldn’t have worried cos Cass was such a wonderful heroine! She’s lonely, kind-hearted and although she’s hopelessly in love with Ruark, she definitely knows what she’s worth and can fight her own battles. RTC!
