Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve managed to finish five books! Can someone please tell me how November is over in less than one week? I’m hoping to keep slashing books off my ARC Possibility Pile for #NetgalleyNovember but it’s not looking so hot… Hopefully, I’ll surprise myself! 😊

Guarding Temptation by Talia Hibbert ★★★★☆
Bless Talia Hibbert for writing such amazing diverse romances. I will read anything by her and at this point, she can do no wrong for me 😂 This novella packed a super-steamy, chemistry-laden punch and I was here for some favourite best friend’s little sister, friends to lovers, and the body guard tropes! 😍 RTC.
Jade Fire Gold by June C.L. Tan ★★¾?
My first buddy read with Becky and we’re both on the same disappointed-mixed-feelings boat about this book. It was easy to read but it also didn’t have much depth and I wasn’t invested in any of the characters or the plot. I’d say it’s perfect for readers who don’t read much fantasy and don’t want complex world-building or characters; sadly, it just wasn’t for me. RTC.
Secret Santa by Kati Wilde ★★★½
This novella might’ve been thin on plot and heavy on the steamy 🥵 but it was also super festive and I really enjoyed it despite the insta-love and moments of cheese! It was such a fast and fun read and I would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a quick holiday office romance with a (very) dirty-talking hero that worships the ground this heroine walks on! RTC.
You’ll Be the Death of Me by Karen McManus ★★★½
If you’ve enjoyed McManus’ other YA mysteries, you’ll most probably enjoy this one too—I know I did! It was a little formulaic but the mystery had me hooked and had me shooting theories every which way! 😂 It’s my stop on the blog tour tomorrow so my review is going up then!
The Hand of the Sun King (Pact and Pattern #1) by J.T. Greathouse ★★★★½
I’ve been struggling to write my review for this because I loved it so much! It blew me away and I still can’t believe it’s Greathouse’s debut. This had beautiful prose, immaculate world-building, wild gods and magic, and messy but realistic characters that you can’t help but root for, and possibly one of my favourite reads of 2021?! RTC.

I’m about 30% of the way through A People’s History of Heaven, but I haven’t been giving this much of my attention (until now). I’m hoping to get it done by this week! I’m also planning to start A Not So Meet Cute cos I’m looking for something fun and light, and who better to provide that than Meghan Quinn?!
To be continued… Eventually!
In other unsurprising news, I still haven’t touched Warbreaker (@ 53%), Hellbound Guilds & Other Misdirections (@ 30%) or She Who Became the Sun (@52%) 🙈… Yes, I am still determined to finish these books!

Anything is possible, especially in my current mood! 😂

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading! 😍

That Meghan Quinn book was so much fun! I hope you love it!

I read The Highland Fling and it was cute but the main character’s personality was super quirky which took me some time to warm up to. lol…but overall I enjoyed it!

I was super excited for it so I was disappointed that we didn’t end up enjoying it. It just lacked depth and I couldn’t connect with the characters at all! I hope you enjoy it if you do read it though!
