Since I finished my last read on Friday evening, I haven’t really been reading. That said, I’d love to spend the rest of my Sunday night in bed reading The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion: Vol 2. I loved the first one (check out my gushy review if you want to know more) and I’m excited to see where things go for Emma. I’m especially curious about her new neighbour… 👀

So… I did a thing… It probably wasn’t my best idea (maybe?) but after seeing an update about exciting things coming in October, I finally bit the bullet and bought myself a Nintendo Switch 2. 😁 As a Switch girlie, I’ve been wanting to get one since its release, but the price has always put me off. That said, I knew that the price would increase from this month so when there was a sale on 9.9, I went ahead and bought it with the Pokopia game as well. And that’s what I’ve been up to since Saturday morning! I really thought to myself that I wouldn’t enjoy Pokopia and then well, I woke up this morning and logged on and the next thing I know it’s already 5pm and I actually have some work to do for an early morning meetings tomorrow. 😅 Definitely no regrets here—I’m so happy I finally have it, and I’ve already made it look very pretty with this cute strawberry protective case (terrible lighting in these photos, so sorry). 💜
Was all of this probably compensation for how messy life has been feeling in the past week? Yes, probably. The older I get the harder it seems to be for me to get back to regular programming when it’s disrupted by anything. Recent events have been a lot! Not to mention we’ve had a massive reminder that Indonesia is on the ring of fire as we’ve had a massive volcanic eruption (Mount Anak Krakatau) followed by at least eight others having small-medium eruptions across the archipelago. As you can imagine, the air quality that’s already shite here just got even worse over the last week with the volcanic ash spreading affecting Jakarta and at one points closing several airports for days. 2026—what a time! 😅
