Well, the past week was a lot so unsurprisingly, I’ve finished reading nothing since last Wednesday. 😮💨
I’m still going with my two buddy reads with Leslie and Chris. We slowed down because of me—sorry, friends!—but now we’re back to reading 🙂
- The Second Death of Locke ⇢ (56%) ⇢ This is definitely a slow-burn but I love how things have been unfolding. There’s something about the writing is so evocative and poignant. It’s giving serious sad girl autumn vibes loaded with a heap of yearning. It is so peak and their chemistry is absolutely incendiary. I adore it! I also feel like what’s coming after where I’m currently at is going to be bad bad, and I don’t know if I’m ready for it! 💀
- Malice ⇢ (83%) ⇢Talking about things getting bad bad, I’m in the thick of everything going to hell in this book. Holy granola, I forgot how Gwynne does not hold back from throwing it all at you and I’m stressed! (Reader stressed, you know?) I just need my main people to be safe, please. I also need the baddies to SUFFER like they’ve never suffered before and will never suffer again cos they’ll be dead! 😤 (✨sorry, I’m deep in my feels✨)
I’ve got another read coming up but let’s see where the mood takes me!
