I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night trying to focus on A Rather Vengeful Accord by Danielle Knight. This is my current Illumicrate buddy read with Chris and I’m ngl, there’s something about this book that seems to constantly send me to sleep whenever I read it. ๐ There’s also something about the writing that’s making it tough for me to actually retain what I’m readingโI don’t know what it is, but I hope I gel better with it soon!
My main thought right now is that I really wish the world-building was better. ๐

In my last update I mentioned how my work situation wasn’t great and in all honesty, it hasn’t really gotten better. This situation has made me realise just how easy it is for people to use your success for their own gain, but when it comes down to tough situations (such as, let’s say, lack of funding leading to office closures), those who benefitted the most from your success will be the first to run away. It’s frustrating and utterly disappointing. We’re all exhausted from trying to figure out what exactly we can and should do when leadership repeatedly fails us. ๐๐ฝ *boo hiss tomato tomato* ๐
Other than that, there’s really not been a lot happening! I got my nails done yesterday and I thought they’re pretty cute summer nails. I’m still gaming a lot but I got some new colour pens yesterday, so I spent a small chunk of today colouring and this ice cream shop turned out much nicer than the pizza shop I coloured. ๐ Also sharing a picture of my cutie because she sleeps so funny. I wish I could sleep/nap for as long as she does, lol!
I’ve still been spending most of my time gaming because my attention span is just not it. I’m thankful for the buddy reads in my life though because otherwise I probably would be reading 1 book every fortnight or something ๐ After spending all day looking at my computer at work, I admit that I’ve been struggling to get back on at home to blog hop, but I have missed seeing checking out people’s posts, so I feel I need to push myself harder to get back into the blogging groove!

I’m so sorry to hear about your work, hopefully you’ll have better weeks ahead! I am myself on the lookout for another job.. as i’m on the verge of being fired because of my strong and “rude” voice ๐ฅฒ I just hope to stretch it as long as I can..

Love your nails! Treating myself to little things like nice nails can totally brighten up my week… especially when work puts me into a not so great mood.
