We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Books I Can’t Believe I’ve Never Read
Hello, TTT friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve been here. I went on a planned partial hiatus in May that ended up being a full hiatus in the end. 😅 I might continue the hiatus in June as things really get intense at work, but hopefully it’ll be more of a partial hiatus than a full one. I hope everyone has been doing well! 🌻
Back to the prompt… I’m looking at today’s topic from the angle of popular books on my TBR that I can’t believe I haven’t read yet. I dug way back in the stacks for some of these titles, but I swear I do still plan to get to them! One day. Soon! Perhaps (or hopefully) in 2026? 🫣

The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne
The Everlasting by Alix E. Harrow
The Fragile Threads of Power by V. E. Schwab
Such A Fun Age by Kiley Reid
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden

The Heart Principle by Helen Hoang
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko
Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé
The Bone Shard Daughter by Andrea Stewart
She Who Became the Sun by Shelley Parker-Chan

Have you read any of these books or are they still on your TBR as well?

The Shadow of the Gods is still on my TBR too.
Thanks for sharing your #TTT

I’ve heard a lot of good things about it over the years. I can’t believe I still haven’t read it yet! 🫣

I’ve seen lots of good things about Helen’s books but haven’t ever read any. 🙂 Hope you enjoy these all when you read them.

Thank you! I adored the first two books in this series and The Heart Principle was actually the one I was most anticipating, so I can’t believe I still haven’t read yet it. 🫣

I get it, I went on a hiatus on May too. It’s been hard to keep up with deadlines but I’m hoping things get better for both of us soon. The Bear and the Nightingale is an amazing series, I hope you manage to read some of these!Hazehttps://thebookhaze.com/

I’m sorry to hear that it was such a struggle for you too! I hope that June is a much better read for you 💜 I have heard so many good things about TBATN series and I think that’s also why I keep putting it off 🤭🫣 I hope it lives up to the hype! Lol

Ace of Spades almost made my list for this week. I can’t believe I still haven’t read the author. I hope you get a chance to read some of these soon!

Me too! I’ve heard so many good things about it, I don’t know why I haven’t picked it up yet. 😂 I hope that we both enjoy it whenever we get to it!

The Bear and the Nightingale is one that usually makes my “haven’t read” lists, but I’ve been “meaning” to read it for so long that I’m starting to wonder if I ever will.
I hope you enjoy these when/if you get to them!

Haha, it’s exactly the same for me too! 🫣 I hope you enjoy it if/whenever you get to it though!

I’m reading The Everlasting atm, although I’ve only just started it so I have no thoughts on it yet.

Ooh, that is probably the most hyped book I have on my shelf right now. I’m so nervous about reading it because of that but I’ve enjoyed all the books I’ve read by Harrow, so I’m hopeful about this one too. I really hope that you’re enjoying it! 😁

Unfortunately, it was just ok for me. I didn’t fall in love with it like so many others did!

I recently (finally) read The Heart Principle. Been meaning to read it for years. I liked it.

I can’t wait for the day I move it from my TBR to my read list 😂 I’m so glad to hear that you liked it!

Great post! I would highly recommend She Who Became The Sun. The Fragile Threads of Power is one I’ve been uncertain about picking up since I struggled a bit with the original series.

I’ve heard so many amazing things about SWBTS, but that also makes me a little nervous about picking it up. 😂 Even though I loved the original series, I heard some pretty mixed things about Fragile Threads that made me not want to pick it up asap. But I will read it eventually, lol.

I loved The Bear & the Nightingale! Everything she writes is so good. I just read The Everlasting recently, and loved that one too. Great list!

I honestly can’t believe I still haven’t read an Arden book but I’m looking forward to my first read experience… one day… hopefully soon! 😄 Yay for loving The Everlasting! I hope that I fall in that camp as well, I’m just trying not to get my hopes up, just in case, lol.

Why did I think you’d read The Bone Shard Daughter series? Seeing it on this list has made me want to do a re-read, and I’m hoping The Broken Binding will release some spare copies of their versions because those books are just too beautiful not to have on my shelves lol. The Shadow of the Gods is one I still need to pick up myself, I’ve seen so many rave reviews.

I feel like I might’ve had it on a few semi-recent TBRs 😂 But its stayed on them TBRs! I really need to get on it cos I’ve been told by so many that I would love it, lol. Maybe if they do a re-release or re-print that’d motivate me to read it faster, haha (kidding, maybe).
Shadow of the Gods has been on my TBR for soo long too. I think I’ll love it, but I just nerved out by the hype, lol. If you’d like to read it together, let me know. I’d be down for a buddy read hehe 🤭

That must be it! I know The Broken Binding did a gorgeous edition that I’m hoping to get my hands on in their resale. I’d definitely be up for a buddy read ☺️ just let me know when works for you.

You always make me smile, Dini. Of these books, the only ones I’ve read are The Nightingale and The Heart Principle and I enjoyed them both. I have so many books that I have put on, taken off and put back on again, because I want to read them, but probably won’t as there are always new books I want to read.

I’ve read three of these – The Bear And The Nightingale and The Bone Shard Daughter, both of which I adored. And Ace Of Spades which I enjoyed over all but wasn’t a fan of ending wise.
All the others are on my TBR too. I especially cant believe I haven’t gotten to The Everlasting, Raybearer, The Shadow Of Gods, Threads (I even made sure to read ADSOM to be ready for that one!!) or She Who Became The Sun yet 🙈
I hope you love all of these whenever you get to them. I hope you’re doing well too and things get sorted work wise.
