Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [229]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today!

I’ve spent a good chunk of my Sunday with The First Binding and I’m happy to say that it has slowly but surely started to pick up!

But I’ll be spending my Sunday night in bed with Trail of Lightning. I’m buddy reading this with Becky and it’ll be a re-read for both of us before we go into the second book in the series! I’m excited because I remember loving this when I first read it—I’m hoping that feeling remains on re-read.

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

It was a rather quiet week with work slowing down and the two days off to celebrate Eid. I ended up spending a lot of time gaming and watching a lot of anime/animation (Frieren, Apothecary Diaries, Delicious in Dungeon, Avatar+Korra, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Kiki’s Delivery Service) rather than doing much reading but I managed to finish a cosy romantasy. I also watched The Eras Tour with my SIL yesterday and it was amazing! I had goosebumps watching her perform certain songs and I so wish I could’ve gone to one of her stops. Hopefully, I’ll get a chance in the future. 💜

I’m struggling to find the motivation to do anything active these days and I’m lowkey starting to irritate myself. How do y’all motivate yourselves to get active and build those new habits?

ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

my latest obsession: COWBOY CARTER by Beyoncé! this is just one of my favourite tracks off the album. it’s such a sexy + fun song + i love Posty, too!

LEVII’S JEANS – beyoncé x post malone

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

  1. I am not one to watch tour films, but I like that it allowed those who could not attend in person to experience the tour. I am good with routines, so I have that block of time for exercise scheduled. I may not want to do it, but gosh darn it! It’s on the schedule, so I must.

    • I put off watching it for so long cos I don’t usually watch tour films but I’m so glad I watched this one cos she’s an incredible performer. I was wowed and like you said, I’m so glad we who didn’t get to go see her live can still get to experience a bit of that magic. 🥰 I’m going to have to start blocking off exercise time, I think. It worked for me before but once you fall out of the habit, it’s so hard to get back into it especially with long days of work and commuting. But I’m committed to giving it a go starting from this week! Fingers crossed it works for me 🤞🏽

  2. I have been doing a read/listen to Gone Tonight by Sarah Pekkanenn. I have watched some of the Eras tour and enjoyed it. I really need to take some time and watch it all through. She is quite a performer. Since I have been home from Florida, I have not done any exercise at all and that was after swimming, walking and/or riding the bike 6 days a week. I did strain my back though, so hope to get back to it. I have to pick a time in the morning though to start off the day. Have a great week, Dini.

    • I hadn’t heard of that book until now but I just read the synopsis and it sounds intense! I hope it is an engaging thriller. 😊 She is truly a stunning performer. I can’t even imagine how she did this for so long and for days back to back. I have so much respect for that! Wow, doing all of that for 6 days a week sounds intense but I can imagine also very invigorating! Sorry to hear about your back though—I hope it’s feeling better now that you’ve given it a bit of a break. Have a great week ahead, Carla!

  3. I wish I could afford to see her LIVE or EVEN get the chance to get tickets. haha. She’s amazing! I can’t wait for the new album this week! I have been having a horrible time with motivation. I gained 15 lbs. bc of nursing and just bought an exercise bike for the basement. I hope that helps me get moving but it’s so hard with the kids. I’m glad that First Binding is picking up for us!! 🙂

    • Lol yeah, I know what you mean. I was just thinking the other day that maybe I should open a “taylor tickets pot” that I deposit into every month to save up for that eventual day. Maybe I can snag myself some wild VIP tickets 😂 Girl, we should motivate each other to work out! Haha, we have an exercise bike next to my room and I’ve just brought the treadmill from upstairs and even still, I make the damnedest excuses to get out of it. I’m starting to get sick of myself though so I think now is the time LOL

      • OOOOHHHH>>> let’s do this!! I used my bike once last week and then the week just zipped by. haha. I’ll message you. We need to find a way to motivate each other! It’s hard because we are on different time schedules but we can figure something out!
