We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

Today I’m going to try spending a teeny tiny part of my Sunday reading The Burning God by R.F. Kuang. This is the final book in the trilogy and so the final book in the group buddy read—it’s been so fun to have people to talk to about this series cos it’s ✨intense!✨

What are you currently reading?

As I knew it probably would, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has taken over my life. One minute I’m thinking to myself that I’ve got this gaming under control and the next minute I know the whole week has passed, I’ve barely made a dent in my buddy read, I’ve not engaged at all on the blogosphere and… Well, this game has consumed my every waking moment. 😂 I made a valiant effort to not pick my console up first thing when I wake up but it doesn’t last long, LOL. I am weak sauce for this game. It is incredible! Is anyone else playing?

On another note, it was my birthday on Friday and I actually took two days off this week (+a public holiday on Thursday) so I ended up having a five-day weekend and it still doesn’t feel long enough? I’m sad I already have to go back to work tomorrow and that from here on to the end of June, there are no more days off for me! 😭 I turned 35 but didn’t do anything special—mum got me a cute panda cake and we had some family over for dinner on the day and lunch the next day. It was chill (and gave me more time to game) so yay! One of my besties also made me awesome art!

On books: I’ve barely read a thing. 😭 This needs to change!

On blogging: I’ve also slacked off very much on the blogging front, particularly on engaging! I will do better next week, I swear, lol!

  1. Happy Birthday, Dini! Both the cake and the art are amazing. I sometimes live from day off to the next day off. Time to yourself is great, and I am glad you have enjoying Zelda so much. Go get your game on.

  2. The cake is so cute, and the art looks great. I’m glad to see you had a good birthday! I’ve been slowly working on the buddy read too. I think I’m up to chapter 5. I’m liking it, but I just haven’t been in the mood for something so heavy.

  3. Happy Birthday, Dini. I love the art you friend made for you and what a cute cake. Good that you took time off and enjoyed your low key day. I am not a gamer, but if it is something you enjoy, go for it.
