#WWWWednesday: 14 December 2022

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Since last week I managed to finish two books. It’s been an incredibly slow reading week because work has been so busy and I have been so tired, but one good thing is I discovered a new favourite read!

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin ★★★★★
All the freaking stars for this incredibly frustrating, not entirely likeable book that is masterfully told! I wrote a long review detailing my thoughts and feelings about it and despite struggling to get down why I loved this book, I’m actually quite proud of this review, and I don’t ever really say that about my reviews!

Santa, Baby: A Very Merry Novella by Eliza McLane ★★★½
I saw Nick mention reading this over on romance Twitter and I’m all about Nick’s recco’s so I immediately checked it out. I loved the adult entertainment angle to this brother’s best-friend/forbidden romance. It was fun, sexy, and sweet and is the perfect steamy novella to add to your holiday romance reading list!

After finishing Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, I actually struggled to find a read that captured and kept my attention. It sent me into a bit of an emotional slump—not in a bad way, it was just so emotionally powerful and I was looking for another read that would make me feel the same way but nothing was really sticking! I’m very slowly reading these three books:

  • The Vermilion Emporium by Jamie Pacton → 10%No further progress made (yet!
  • Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell → 35%This is such a unique mix of genres and although it’s not the ‘easiest’ read, I’m really enjoying it! I’m following along with the audiobook which is great.
  • Forrest for the Trees by Kilby Blades → 70%It’s actually taken me a while to read this. It’s more mystery than romance for a good chunk of the book but the romance is very sweet! Overall, I find the story quite unique, especially the setting and characters’ occupations!

Either one of these or probably not cos that’s the magic of ✨mood reading✨ lol…

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends! 😍
