#WWWWednesday: 07 September 2022

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve managed to finish… Zero books?! Yep, I finished none. 😂 It’s been a week of very little reading and way more travelling than I expected (I’m literally typing this up at the airport right now because I forgot today’s Wednesday, lol, oops) but I’m trying not to make myself feel too guilty about it cos I had fun.

So… I’ve currently got FIVE books on the go! That’s one more than last week because I just started Dyer Street Punk Witches by Phil Williams. My August reading plans did not go well at all and so this digital ARC I received from the author got pushed back until now which is one week before pub day! I don’t even know why I haven’t finished Now This Is Us but we’re stuck at 89% (and not because I wasn’t enjoying it!) 😂 I think now that I’m going to be home I’ll go back to having much more reading time as I have no social life so I’ll likely finish all these books fairly soon(ish).

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends! 😍

    • Thanks, Ali! I’m back “home” now and probably had the most stressful travel journey in a long time. I forgot how tiring it can also be 😂 I hope you enjoy Maggie Moves On—I’ve heard great things about it as well. Glad to hear you enjoyed TVG, too! Happy reading 😃

    • Travelling is exciting but I guess it’s also been so long since I’ve last travelled that I forgot how tiring and HECTIC it can be???? I was so glad to finally arrive in Jakarta so I could crash out on my bed 😂 I still haven’t been reading much but hopefully, soon, those thoughts on the books will come once I make a bit more progress. Haha, hoping to finish something at some point soon anyway! Hope you’ve had a great week so far too 💜

    • I definitely used to be a book juggler but right now I think it’s more indicative of my restless mood than anything else, lol. I still haven’t done any more reading this week! I’ll get through these… Eventually 😂

  2. I hope your trip went well. That is a lot of books to have going at once. I think I’d mix them up if I had to pay attention to that many. lol. I’m looking forward to Soul of the Deep and can’t wait to see your thoughts on it. I loved the first book and am curious to see how the story ends. Have a great week and happy reading!

    • Haha, I used to juggle books more often but it’s definitely a lot right now. I think it’s more indicative of my restless reading mood and inability to focus on anything 😂 I’ll work through them eventually, I hope! I’m looking forward to seeing how the story ends in Soul of the Deep as well—fingers crossed it’ll be super satisfying! I hope you had a great week 😃

    • Haha, I’m not doing a great job of juggling them tbh. I’ve been in such a restless reading mood! So far, WSLS has been enjoyable but a little bit slow in the build-up. It’s getting good though, I admit! I’m enjoying Dyer Street Punk Witches—it’s so different from Williams’ Ikiri Duology but I love the clever magic system! Happy reading to you as well and hope you’ve had a great week so far 😍

  3. It’s never a bad time to travel and have fun. Just enjoy, and don’t feel bad. I have had 3 books on the go at a time, but never 5, that is amazing. I enjoyed Maggie Moves On and hope you do as well. Enjoy your reading week, Dini.

    • I’m honestly not doing a great job of juggling the reads or actually reading anything at all since I wrote this post 😂 BUT I will get back to the flow eventually… I think I forgot how tiring travelling is or maybe that’s just the side effect of pandemic life? I hope you enjoy your reading as well, Carla! Have a great weekend 🙂
