We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent time curled up reading in bed with, or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night reading a historical romance that I recently added to my TBR: A Governess Should Never Tempt A Prizefighter by Emily Windsor. I’ve read two of Windsor’s books before and always enjoy her writing, characters and romance! This’ll be a nice break from the fantasy I’ve been reading lately.
What are you currently reading?

Sunday started off on a tragic note when my friend learned her estranged uncle in LA had passed away. There’s a lot of messy family history that led to the estrangement between her uncle and her father and despite not having spoken for years, it’s always jarring and heartbreaking to get this kind of news. Because of that, the day has been quite sombre and everyone has understandably been lost in their thoughts and emotions are running slightly high.
As an outsider to the family, it’s felt a little awkward but the only thing I can do is be there when my friend wants to talk out her feelings and otherwise, stay out of their way. It has made me miss my family more than usual though and we had a good chat in the afternoon to catch up as its been a minute since we last spoke. Life can be so unpredictable and moments like this really emphasise the importance of cherishing the time you have with your loved ones and appreciating them more. 💜

Not much to update on the reading front as it’s been slow but I’ve been pretty happy that I’ve kept so on top of responding to comments and engaging as much as I can. I scheduled 90% of my posts this past week and it made me feel hella accomplished! 😂 On that note… ICYMI, here’s what I posted on the blog this week:

So sorry to hear about your friends loss. It is definitely hard being the outsider and I totally understand why you would be even more homesick. I’m sure just being there is helpful to her. It’s always so much worse when it’s a tricky family situation. Sending all the positive thoughts and hugs! ❤
