I’ll be spending part of my Sunday night in bed reading my ARC of Defiant Heart by Brighton Walsh. This is a small-town grumpy/sunshine enemies-to-lovers romance between the town’s sheriff and a yogi activist who can’t stop getting arrested. I’m about 30% through now and I’m loving the chemistry!
What are you currently reading?
Last Monday, I left Jakarta and flew to India where I’ll be spending at least the next few months with one of my closest friends. Now that I’m unemployed, I’m taking some time to figure out what it is I want to do next and I’m lucky enough to go on a “small holiday” at the same time! I’m unofficially helping my friend with her awesome business and it’s been a big and kinda challenging adjustment so far but it’s also been nice. I’ve been helping her shoot some social media content (reels) and it’s been fun but serious hats off to those who do all the social media on their own because it’s a lot of work.
Other than going to work every day, my friend has encouraged me to start watching Stranger Things and I’ve basically binged all four seasons in a week? Now I’m all caught up for when the last two episodes of S4 come out on 01 July. 😂 It’s absolutely wild but I do get why it’s such a well-loved show!
I haven’t been doing a lot of reading or blog hopping since I got here. I’ve definitely tried my best to blog hop as much as I can or at least respond to comments and stuff on my blog but it’s been a challenge to find the balance. From having zero social life for a very long time to now spending 100% of my time with someone, it’s been a lot and I think it’s gonna take a while for me to adjust, so I’m sorry if I’m a little more erratic with my interactions! I hope it doesn’t take much longer for me to find some kind of balance with everything 😊

I’m obsessed with Stranger Things season 4… It’s so good! I won’t have time to binge-watch all seasons before the last two eps on season 4 come out but I wish I did! I’ll watch them as soon as Netflix drops them and during July, considering I’ll have more free time from college, I’ll probably try to binge all of it. It’s such a good show. I’m also very curious about First Kill (V.E. Schwab’s show).

I love that you are doing something new and hope you figure out what you want to do next! I’m in the same boat in a way – my daughter is finally going to start school in August and now I’ll have free time between 8am – 1pm and I’m like…should I find a part-time job? Or put more effort into my Etsy shop? I have no clue. I love Stranger Things and look forward to part 2 in July! I love all your pics – the colors pop so beautifully! Enjoy India!

I think it’s so great that you are helping out your friend though. I’m so glad to be back home because I’VE MISSED YOU! Even if it’s ranting about TWoTQ!! Also- YES!! Stranger Things!! We started season 4 on vaca but only got one episode in because we were exhausted every night. Hopefully, we can finish it this week. 🙂
