#TopTenTuesday: All the Bookish Characters

So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is actually a freebie and so I decided to do a topic that I don’t think I’ve done before: Bookish Characters (these could be readers, writers, authors, librarians, professors, etc.)

I love reading books about books and stories with bookish characters that are so relatable so this prompt wasn’t too difficult for me to find books for. I think I may have done a similar prompt once or twice before but I can’t remember what books I listed for those. 😅 I’ve read all of these books and most of them are even favourites!

Have you read any of these books? Do you enjoy reading books about books and relatable bookish characters? What are some of your favourites?

    • It took a bit of scrolling through my Goodreads list as I racked my brain for whether a certain book really did have bookish characters or if my brain just made it up 😂 I honestly thought I’d have more books with bookish characters on my list but apparently not!

  1. I didn’t do this one but off the top of my head I can only name two characters. 😂 Great job coming up with so many!

    • I hope you love it! I have to be honest and say it wasn’t my favourite of MQ’s romances or even my fave of that series (the third book was *chefs kiss though!*) but it was still a fun enemies-to-lovers romcom! Happy reading 🥰

  2. Same as you, I found the topic a lot easier than some. And who cares whether you have listed them before, I know I keep repeating some books all the time, we all do.

My favourite cover there is “Words in Deep Blue” but that could have to do with the fact that blue is one of my favourite colours.

My TTT this week is all about readers.

    • Too, right! Favourites are favourites and of course they’ll keep coming up in my lists 😂 Words in Deep Blue not only has a beautiful eye-catching cover but the inside is just as wonderful too. 💙 Thanks for stopping by, Marianne!

    • I almost forgot about Lazlo until the cover came up on my Goodreads list as I was scrolling for titles for this post! Such a great character and book. I checked out your post and enjoyed the fun twist you made to the prompt! Thanks for stopping by 😃

    • Omg YAY! Someone else who loved Words in Deep Blue! That was my first and only book by Crowley but I’d definitely love to check out more by her. It made me so deeply emotional (ugly crying all the way LOL) and oh, how I loved it!

    • The swoony grand gesture featuring some bookish character dress up really did it for me 😃 It’s not my fave of her books but still lots of fun (when is a MQ not though)!

  3. I haven’t read any of these yet, but so many are on my tbr. I especially want to read Nina Hill and Words in Deep Blue! Great choices this week!

    • I also still have to finish The Great Library series but I think I got to the last book, just haven’t got around to picking it up yet. Oh no, I’m sorry to hear about the slump and SoT falling victim to it 😢 Sometimes a certain book just isn’t for you and that’s OK though! I have quite a few that I picked up during a raging slump and haven’t finished yet but plan to… Eventually lol

      • Ha ha that’s basically the story of my life, so many series books just sitting on my bookshelves screaming at me to finish them. It was definitely mostly the slump because there was a lot I was really liking about Sorcery of Thorns, I just couldn’t quite get to the end at the time. Hopefully I will someday (by which point I will probably have forgotten everything about it!).
