Goodreads Monday – The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind

Welcome back to Goodreads Monday! This weekly meme was started by @Lauren’s Page Turners and it invites you to pick a book from your TBR and explain why you want to read it. Easy enough, right? Feel free to join in if you want to! I’ll be using a random number generator to pick my books from my insanely long GR Want-to-read list.

This week’s featured book is The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind by Jackson Ford. This is book one in The Frost Files series and has a 3.67 rating on Goodreads!

For Teagan Frost, sh*t just got real.

Teagan Frost is having a hard time keeping it together. Sure, she’s got telekinetic powers—a skill that the government is all too happy to make use of, sending her on secret break-in missions that no ordinary human could carry out. But all she really wants to do is kick back, have a beer, and pretend she’s normal for once.

But then a body turns up at the site of her last job—murdered in a way that only someone like Teagan could have pulled off. She’s got 24 hours to clear her name—and it’s not just her life at stake. If she can’t unravel the conspiracy in time, her hometown of Los Angeles will be in the crosshairs of an underground battle that’s on the brink of exploding…

Full of imagination, wit and random sh*t flying through the air, this insane adventure from an irreverent new voice will blow your tiny mind.

Why do I want to read it?

I don’t know about you but the first time I saw this title I immediately knew that it was a book that I wanted to read. I guess I was title judging, but also partially cover judging because there’s something that always catches my eye when I glimpse this cover. But then I read the synopsis and some trusted reviews and I knew that I was for sure making the right decision. It sounds like it’ll be a crazy fast paced SFF adventure and I’m here for it! Aside from having an insane TBR mountain to traverse, I have no idea why I haven’t prioritised or picked this up yet.

Have you read The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t with Her Mind? If you have, what did you think of it? Or is it on your TBR?

  1. Pssst. *whispers* You should totally read this one.

The title’s definitely what got me at first, but this was a fast-paced book with a protagonist that I felt a kinship to deep in my soul. She’s deeply cynical and sarcastic and wings it an awful lot. Girl after my own heart. xD I just started the sequel to this, and it reminded me how much I’d missed her haha.
