Welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

What did you read last?
My first three books of the year have been from The Great Library series by Rachel Caine. I don’t think I’ve consumed a series so fast before, although I haven’t finished it yet. I’ve still got two more of the books to go but I’m now taking a break (even though things are certainly continuing to heat up in the book)! So far I would rate this series a solid ★★★½. It was slow to start, but the pace has really picked up in the sequels. The world building continues to be exceptional, except there’s little to no character development save for the first book. Still, the characters are definitely what I love the most about this series. There are strong found family vibes and many of the characters lean towards being morally grey, which is always exciting in my book! You can check out my review for Ink and Bone, but I’ve decided that I will post an overall review for the rest of the series once I’m done with it!
What are you currently reading?
I decided to re-read Scythe on a whim yesterday because I want to read The Toll soon! This book is as awesome as my shady as memory remembers it to be. This time I’m defo writing a review for it! 😅 I haven’t picked up The Most Fun We Ever Had since putting it down the other week, but I will get to it as it’s for my first buddy read of the year. I’m also still going with the short Christmas romances in Christmas in the City. Haven’t been in a romancing mood lately so I’ve only been reading one or two stories at a time. I’ve got one more story left now!
What will you read next?
I’ve still got no idea what I’m in the mood for. For now I’m going to put the rest of the Arc of a Scythe series on here. But I also know that I’ve got two eARC deadlines coming up so might have to start on one of those this week because my reading mood has been so funky. I think I’ll go with the graphic novel for Parable of the Sower.

What are you currently reading this week? Any books you’re really looking forward to reading soon?

I have Christmas in the City on my Kindle and just recently bought a physical copy from Kennedy Ryan who signed it. I excited to start it because there are several authors that are included that are real favorites of mine.

I’m kind of jealous that you thought to do that! I loved that book.

I hadn’t read Kennedy Ryan’s books before but her story in this book was by far my favourite. I mean, it was also the most steamy but I liked that her characters were so passionate about such an important cause. And the diversity was *chefs kiss*. I guess I should really read her books huh?! 😂

It’s amazing how she can write two completely different series, entirely different genres, and excel in both! She’s amazing 🙂

Oh it’s literally twilight written by Meyer but with Edward the vampire becoming Edythe the vampire and Bella the 17 year old with a penchant for cold dead things that sparkle becoming Beau the 17 year old with a penchant for cold dead things that sparkle! IT IS HONESTLY HILARIOUS AND I CANT BELIEVE MEYER GOT AWAY WITH PUBLISHING IT AND I MIGHT GIVE IT FIVE STARS FOR THE SHEER AUDACITY 😂😂😂😂😂

I hope you enjoy it! This is a re-read for me and I’ve been so distracted it’s taking me a lot longer than I anticipated to get through. I’ve actually read so little this week 😂😭
