I’ll be spending my Sunday night in bed with Malice by John Gwynne (42%). This is a re-read with Leslie before we continue the series.
I feel like this has been a little slow going so far because there’s a lot of information (especially character and place names!) to take in, but I’m enjoying it. There are already characters I want to swipe off the page and others that must be protected at all costs. 🥺 I really can’t wait to see what happens! So far, I have not recalled anything from when we last read it 4 years ago, lol. 💀
What book do you have in bed with you this Sunday?
Well, I actually left the house a few times this past week (and it wasn’t for work), so that’s something! 😂 Unfortunately, I got stood up on Thursday when I was meant to meet a former colleague/friend who reached out to me randomly the other week. She wanted to meet up and catch up, but then she never showed up. She said she didn’t set an alarm and overslept when she took a nap… Oh well, I guess. 🤷🏻♀️ To compensate for actually getting dressed and out of the house, I treated myself to some books and clothes, so that wasn’t too bad, lol. 🤭 I also went out for Sunday lunch with a couple of cousins and we had a great (meaty) meal + ice cream + coffee. I’m now exhausted and ready to hibernate in my room with my book and game. My brother was in Japan two months ago and he finally gave me the gift my sister bought me and it’s this cute little Twinkle Twinkle fella and a sweet postcard. 💜
I’ve been reading a little bit, but not like the previous week. Still more than the weeks/months before though 🙂 I can’t believe another month is already over and it’s time to do another monthly wrap up!

Oh nooo, sorry to hear about the situation with the colleague/friend person – that sucks! I’m glad you got to treat yourself as a reward for leaving the house though. I am also shook that the month is already almost over, idk where it went but I do not appreciate the way we’re almost at the end of the year already.

Yay to getting out a couple of times this week, Dini. I’m glad you were able to make the most of your time when your friend didn’t make it to your meeting. Your kitty is adorable. I hope you have a good week, and hopefully, you will be able to meet up with your old friend yet.
