Weโre back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is: Most Anticipated Books Releasing in the Second Half of 2026
I always admire book lovers who keep track of when in the year books release but I’m not one of those people. I mean, I do pay some attention to when new books are coming out in a year, but whether they’re in the first-half or second-half of the year is anyone’s guess! So it took me a little time to scour my 2026 list on Goodreads and figure out what’s still to be released. Here are the 10 I’m really keen on! These are listed by order of release.

The Dragon Has Some Complaints by John Wiswell
Fishbone Cinderella by Elizabeth Lim
A Trade of Blood by Robert Jackson Bennett
A Snake Among Swans by Hannah Kaner
Espรญritu by Aiden Thomas

Taipei Story by R.F. Kuang
Exit Party by Emily St. John Mandel
Victorious by V.E. Schwab
Call Me Traitor by Everina Maxwell
To Dream in Darkness by Ann Liang

What releases are you looking forward to in the latter half of this year? Are any of these on your list or do think they’d be interesting for you?

A few I’m looking forward to and have on order.
Valley of Ravens by Barbara Erskine
Fury in Death by JD Robb
Frost and Venom by Christine Feehan
Twisted Road by Christine Feehan
Depth by Yrsa Sigurdardottir
Infinite Love Story by Chanel Cleeton
False Flag by Rachel Grant
Birth of the Witch by Nora Roberts
Last Tenant by Eva Bjorg Aegisdottir
Alfa by Lilja Sigurdardottir
Bad Company by Sara Paretsky

Ooh, I do remember seeing that there’s a new Nora Roberts but I didn’t check the details (like whether it’s part of a series or something new). I hope you enjoy all of these releases if/when you get to them ๐

Yes, it’s book 1 in a new trilogy

Ooh… I hadn’t seen that cover for The Dragon Has Some Complaints!

I actually only saw it as I was preparing for this postโI had always seen the American cover. ๐คญ I don’t actually know which I prefer, lol. I think the American one gives off a much more sinister vibe, similar to Someone You Can Build A Nest In!

As you commented, we both have Evit Party on our lists. I’ve only read two or three St. John Mandel books but Station Eleven is so good. I think about it all the time.

There are several on here that I want to read! Fishbone Cinderella, A Trade of Blood (I think on my summer TBR), and A Snake Among Swans! I am also excited for Victorious and trying to decide if I want to drive an hour to see her talk! I hope you enjoy all the ones you get to! โค

Oops, I forgot to include the new Hannah Kaner book in mine! To be perfectly transparent, I didnโt used to do monthly lists of anticipated releases. But Iโve found they give a nice viewership bump from SEO. And it helps me stay a teensy bit organized/in the know!

I only do these for TTTs but generally don’t keep solid track of releases ๐คญ I’m so excited for the new Hannah Kaner bookโit looks so good!

I was actually surprised to see no mentions of Kuang’s book! ๐คญ I feel like there was a lot more variety on this week’s lists, which is great too, lol.

I thought about including Taipei Story because I think it sounds interesting…..but R.F. Kuang has kind of been hit or miss for me and I’m not sure which category this one will fall into, haha.

Fair enough. There’s only been one Kuang book tha I haven’t read (Yellowface) but I’ve luckily loved all her other books. I’m a little nervous about this one, as it does sound different to her usual? But I’m still keen to check it out! Hopefully it’ll be a hit too ๐

I buy Elizabeth Lim’s books for my little sister nearly every Christmas/Birthday and Fishbone Cinderella sounds like it will be really interesting, so I’ll probably be buying that one for her too.

Aww, that’s so lovely! I’m excited for Fishbone because it’s her adult debut and it’s inspired by her grandmother’s immigration experience. I hope your sister enjoys it if you do get it for her! ๐

Was Vicious by V.E. Schwab always supposed to be a trilogy? I only read the first book and I that was 13 years ago!!!! I had no idea there was a 3rd book coming out

I don’t know if it was or not but the epilogue of the second book kind of left room for it and I think people always expected it? Its been ages since I read the books too but I do remember loving them so much! ๐คญ I hope you enjoy the books if you continue reading the series!
