I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed with The Enchanted Greenhouse by Sarah Beth Durst. I’m buddy reading this with Charlotte and so far, both of us are enjoying more than the first book. The FMC is much less frustrating with her endless list of questions and inner monologue. ๐คญ
What book do you have in bed with you this Sunday?
This week took an unexpected turn for me health wise. I went in for a regular doctor’s appointment to finally get my lungs checked out (again) as I’ve been experiencing another flare-up with my chronic bronchitis. Turns out, I had let the issue linger for too long (several months) and it turned into mild pneumonia… ๐ฎโ๐จ The doctor wanted to admit me into the hospital but I said that I just want to go home, so she kept me in the ER to be treated for the day, and then released me with a whole pharmacy. I guess since my body is always uncomfortable and I’m always in some form of pain or the other, I just don’t realise how bad things get… But it’s amazing how easy it is to breathe now (sounds ridiculous I know). ๐ These meds have been knocking me out real good though, and I’ve spent the majority of the weekend sleeping, which I think my body desperately needed. I’m slowly feeling better now!
I’ve just been hanging on until the end of June… Just two more days and then I’ll be able to have a proper reset, look for new work, take time to care for my health, etc. We’re so close!
I actually managed to post more than once this weekโgo me! I’ve also been reading a bit more as I’ve not had the energy to sit and game (thanks to my meds). So in between bouts of sleep I’ve been reading and it feels good. ๐

Being told you needed to go to hospital when you only went for a check up must have been scary. Iโm very glad that you are improving now.
I enjoyed The Enchanted Greenhouse much more than the first one too. Iโm looking forward to the third in the series which is out in a couple of months I think

It was honestly a bit of a shock because I felt no better or worse than any other day! But I’m glad that it’s addressed and now I am actually feeling better ๐ I wound up enjoying The Enchanted Greenhouse which I’m really happy about, especially since I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first one, lol. I’m looking forward to the third one too and I hope we both enjoy it as much as the second! Have a great week ahead as well, Janette!

Oh, no! I am glad you are breathing better. It’s odd how easy it is for these things to creep up on you. I remember going to the doctor, and him telling me I was in respiratory distress and it was just another day for me. You get so used to not feeling well, that you don’t realize there is a problem. I hope you get the rest you need and heal quickly.

Exactly this! I wasn’t feeling any better or worse than any other day when I went in for my doctor’s visit (honestly, I only went because of my contract ending and therefore, insurance was ending, so I wanted to take advantage while I could, lol). I think I felt worse once I started taking the medication! Good thing that I went I guess… ๐คญ

There were elements to The Spellshop that I enjoyed, but for the most part, I wasn’t a massive fan. So I’m really glad that The Enchanted Greenhouse was much more enjoyable too! ๐ I hope you love it whenever you get to it. Yeah, the health has been rough but I am now slowly feeling better.
