#WWWWednesday: 15 April 2026

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

It’s been another slow reading week. I’ve been so exhausted lately and so it’s a bit of a struggle to read since I can’t focus on anything. 😅 Since last week I’ve managed to finish two books and thankfully, I loved both!

The Wicked Sea by Jordan Stephanie Gray, Sunbringer by Hannah Kaner

Forgive-Me-Not by Mari Costa ★★★★½
This was such an adorable graphic novel! As I said in my review: this is a classic fairytale with a princess and a knight but with a changeling twist and a sapphic bent. I loved it! Check out my full review

A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher ★★★★½
I picked this up on a whim without recalling what it was about or even what others have said about it, but it was Kingfisher so I knew it would at least be fun, right? So right! 🤭 While this touches on dark/heavy topics such as toxic parent-child relationships, coercive control, and abuse, there’s still a quality of charm and cosiness that coexisted alongside the steadily building horror. It sounds like an odd combination but Kingfisher always manages to make it work. This was also about chosen family, a coming-of-age (of sorts), as well as finding your voice and agency. I adored Cordelia, Hester, and many of the side characters who are part of their story. I’d highly recommend it!

Voidwalker by S. A. MacLean, The Other Bennet Sister by Janice Hadlow

Voidwalker ↦ 73% ↦ I’m buddy reading this with Chris but he’s read it before and this is my first time! I’m not speeding through this because of work and life stuff at the moment, but I’m enjoying it a lot. It’s well-paced, the banter is fantastic, and I’ve come to really like Fionamara and Antal. They’re the polar opposite of perfect MCs who are super powerful, all-knowing, and have everything go right all the time. There are so many messes and misses and it’s quite entertaining (and refreshing)!

The Other Bennet Sister ↦ 22% ↦ I’m kind of but kind of not reading this. Even though I enjoy it while I’m reading it and it is surprisingly easily readable, it is quite slow. It’s still early days though and I’m curious to see where Mary’s story goes outside of what we see in P&P. I really want to see her blossom!

It’s been a hot minute since I signed up to do any blog tours but four of these titles below really intrigued me and sounded like ones I’d really enjoy, so my April and May are semi-booked! 😃 I can’t wait to check them out.

What are you currently reading? I hope you’re enjoying whatever book you’ve picked up, friends!

  2. Voidwalker is one I’m intrigued by, so I’m eager to see what you think of it. A Sorceress Comes to Call is one of my favourite Kingfisher books, I don’t know what magic she works to make her stories work but I love them all the same lol.
