Hello, friends. 2026 has been such a year already that I’ve forgotten the fact that it’s time to head back to the Orilium Academy for ✨The Magical Readathon: Orilium Spring Equinox 2026!✨ We’re well into April already, but we’re going to roll with it.
If this is your first time hearing about the readathon, you can find out more via resources linked below, and you can watch G’s video below for the Spring 2026 announcement. Happy reading!
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, our lovely host G @Book Roast created this Beginners Guide to the Magical Readathon, just in case you’re interested in starting your own journey to Orilium!

CHARACTER BACKGROUND

I’ve pretty much stopped tracking my guild points… I have no idea how many I have left!

- Name: Meeska Shonara
- Guild: House of the Arcane
- Calling: Illusionist Rogue (Apprentice) / Mage Hunter (Novice)
- Status: Adept
- Background: Urban
- Province: Kerador
- Heritage: Earthling (Fire)
- Conduit: Staff
- Legacy: Pocket Dimension

Last year, Meeska continued their pursuit of becoming a Mage Hunter to complement their Illusionist Rogue abilities, and after years of failing classes (lol), they finally completed the novice track! 🎉 After all of that though, they’ve decided to continue their journey in mastering the Illusionist Rogue calling. That means if they successfully complete this year, they will achieve the Adept certification.
Orilium Spring Equinox 2026 Prompts + Possibility Pile
Since Meeska’s back to pursuing the Illusionist Rogue calling, they’re back to taking the following classes: Shapeshifting, Art of Illusion, and Psionics & Divination. With how poorly reading has been going lately, it’s good that there are only three classes to tackle this semester! But, as always, being an epic mood reader means possibility piles are the way to go for maximum flexibility. Let’s get to it! ✨

Shapeshifting: Volume Modification
Flip a coin: Heads — Under 400 pages; Tails — Over 400 pages
I SADLY FLIPPED TAILS. 🥲 But it’s fine… I’m already reading the first two books, one of which is a buddy read, so I totally got this!

Spells & Incantations: In-fashion Spells & Incantations
Currently on a best seller list
Well, I had absolutely no idea about this. I went to look at the best sellers lists for Waterstones, Barnes & Nobles, and the New York Times, but I tried to find titles that were already on my TBR (or weren’t too expensive if I needed to purchase them). I have the most options to choose from the Waterstones list so we’re going for it:

Psionics & Divination: Reading Past & Future
Word ‘time’ in the title
I thought I’d have a lot more titles to choose from, but these are the most appealing options to me. Maybe this time I’ll finally read Time War? 😅

And that’s it for the Orilium Spring Equinox this 2026! I’m excited for Meeska to continue pursuing their OG Illusionist Rogue calling. 😍 Is anyone else joining the Magical Readathon this year? Is your character changing callings or are they pursuing ‘Master’ status?
