We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today!

I’m spending my Sunday night in bed reading Are You Nobody Too? by Tina Cane. I’m reading this MG novel in verse for a blog tour spot next week. I’m roughly 20% in and while reading in verse makes it a fast read, I’m not sure I’m connecting to it as much as I expected. Keen to see where it goes though!
What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

I’ve been doing my best to deal with the “backlash” from my team following the news about our team’s positions being abolished while simultaneously trying to stay afloat balancing a hectic work schedule in September (why is everything happening in September?!) and dealing with contract closure processes. I’m tired, anxious, feeling slightly unmotivated and I can’t wait until September is over. I’m not sure what will happen next, but I just want next month to go as quickly as possible! 😂

It’s been a relatively quiet book blog week although I managed to post a couple of reviews and I’m quite proud of myself for writing them so quickly because I’ve fallen massively behind on reviews lately! 😂 Sometimes I curse myself for being so lazy every moment that I’m not at work. I just seem to be exhausted all the time. Does anyone else feel the same? Lol. I’ve also noticed that despite steady and higher-than-usual daily site views, my post engagements (likes, comments) have decreased a lot. Has anyone seen the same happen on their blog too?
ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

- Book Review: Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse

first time – hozier
I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

You were/are in a tough position at work. I hope the transition goes well, and better things are on the horizon.

Thanks, Sam! It’s not a great situation to be in but I do hope better things are coming 🙂

As much as the year has zoomed by and I want it to slow down, I hope it moves quickly for you Dini, while you deal with all the stress and changes at work. I have to say that is one weird video. The song isn’t bad though.

I know, I have to admit that the official audio videos for this album are disturbing 😂 I hate seeing that mouth move so… But the song is one of my favourites off this amazing album 😍

I hope this means something better is heading your way!!
I’ve noticed that the amount of time I interact on other blogs greatly affects the “likes and comments” on my own. And with the busyness of life, I don’t always have the time.

Thanks, Ali! I guess I’ve been really falling behind on engaging with other blogs and so it makes sense that my engagements have decreased too despite the many blog visits. Reminds me I need to make more time for it when I can 😂

I couldn’t say for sure that that’s your issue. I just noticed it really seems to impact my engagements, so I thought it might be worth mentioning.

It tracks though cos I’ve been really bad with engagement the last couple of months especially! 🤦🏻♀️
