I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday in bed with The Second Son. I’m very behind. I should’ve started this last week but it just didn’t happen! I admit that I remember very little about the first book but I enjoyed it enough to want to continue the series and see what happens. I hope it’ll be a quick (and painless!) read.

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

*long exhale* I can’t believe I last posted 10 days ago! I didn’t intend to take a mini hiatus but alas, life had other plans. The days leading up to my brother’s July 6 wedding were as hectic as anticipated but the day itself was wonderful. It was still busy but fun to celebrate with our “new family” and see some of my brother’s oldest friends we knew from childhood. It was a day full of plenty of mixed emotions and it was a success! 😂 What I didn’t expect, however, was to get sick right after.

Here are just the few pictures I’ve managed to sort through from the day/night! 💙

Unfortunately, by the Monday after the wedding, I fell seriously ill in the arvo and felt like hell up until this Friday. I was presenting all the COVID symptoms—raging fever, incredibly sore throat, body chills and aches, headaches—but I kept testing negative so I went to the doctor when I landed in Jakarta and found out it was a pretty bad throat infection. It was awful and ugh, I’m so glad to be on the mend! It has thrown me off in many ways though and I’ve been trying to restore some balance/comfort in my life by returning to gaming.

What with being busy for the wedding and then sick afterwards, I haven’t really been reading much. I have binged a whole bunch of romance with quality that has significantly deteriorated the more I’ve read… 😂 I’m currently “hate reading” a series that is so toxic and that I find so frustrating and yet, I can’t stop because it’s my brain’s speed at the minute, lol. It’s also why I’m far behind on what I need to read for upcoming tours and releases! I really have to get my panda butt in gear this week. 🐼

    Oh man, now I wanna know what this series is that you’re hate reading 😂 Sometimes, our brains need a break and KU can be real good for that for me, haha.
