I’m spending my Sunday in bed with The Magic Paintbrush by Kat Zhang. This is for a tour later mid-week and I’m behind on it because I can only read the ARC on my phone or laptop as there’s no Kindle copy. I love the concept and am enjoying the illustrations, even if they’re not final.

What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

Today is my balloon day. 🎈 36 years around the sun and some days, I still feel like a clueless child in the body of an adult having to do grown-up things with no clear direction for my life. I wonder when that will ever change! 😂

Time to get a little sappy: Every day I’m thankful for the people in my life who are so accepting of my grumpy sarcastic nature (I would for real be the IRL grump in all those romances), and for the entire bookish community, especially everyone who stops by here, and chats and reads with me. Thank you for your friendship! 🌻 This little old blog has been a lifeline for me during the darkest moments and I don’t know where I’d be without y’all. 💜

  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I hope this is the start of your best year yet. *I hate when the format forces me to not be able to read on my Kindle. That’s why I have the Fire I hardly use and had to back door install apps for those non-Kindle formats. I do hope the book is worth the struggle.

  5. Happy birthday!! I just turned the same age last month! Twinsies! I totally get what you mean about still feeling like a kid and figuring things out as I go haha. Being an adult has taught be that everyone’s just figuring it out as they go. 🤣
