We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time reading in bed or wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed (hopefully) finishing The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot. This is a pretty sad book and since I’ve (for some reason) been feeling a little more emo than usual lately, it has worked its way deep into my feelings and made me weepy a couple of times. 😂 I’m loving it though!
What book are you spending your Sunday in bed with?

This has been a busy work week but it has also been a low-key week as a lot of people have been sick at the office and at home! It’s been pretty miserable seeing everyone feeling so poorly and as much as I tried to isolate myself from everyone’s sickness, I also ended up getting a fever Thursday and for a bit of Friday. Thankfully, I was feeling better by Saturday afternoon!
It’s also just me at home at the minute since my parents and sister left for Bali a week early. I’m heading over on Wednesday to join the family as we’ll be celebrating my dad’s 70th on Saturday. Honestly, can’t believe he’s already 70… How quickly time flies, eh? I’m excited that everyone’s going to be here for the house party! 🎈

I’ve not made a lot of reading progress. In fact, I’ve been reading incredibly slowly the past week! I finished the historical romance I was reading last night and today I’ve made some good progress on my current read. I’m excited to start a buddy read tomorrow though and I have a couple more in April that I’m keen for to!

Ariana’s new album eternal sunshine might be one of my top albums of the year. It’s so good and heartbreaking and emotional and I’ve been listening to it obsessively over the past couple of days.
I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

Sorry the germs got you , but I am glad you are feeling better in time to celebrate dad. Happy Birthday to him! Obviously a story about two terminally ill people will be super sad, but there was something about the friendship and the things they accomplished in their lives, the people they touched, that was uplifting.

Unfortunately, dad is now ill in Bali but since we’ve got a few days to go before his birthday celebration, I hope he feels better by then! 😃 I finished Lenni & Margot last night and I totally get what you loved it. It had me ugly crying by the end but their friendship was so touching and their characters written with such heart. I do agree that it’s uplifting despite the sadness. I’m so glad I finally read it!

Oh, no! I hope you continue to feel better and don’t get whatever everyone has. I am glad you are enjoying Lenni and Margot but it’s definitely very emotional and sad! I cried so much with that one. I’m sure it’s going to be so fun having everyone together!

I hope I don’t either! My dad is now sick in Bali and I feel he caught whatever everyone else had because others who live in our house got sick before him with the same symptoms too. I ended up finishing Lenni & Margot last night and I ended up ugly crying (and woke up to super puffy eyes this morning, lol). It’s a heartfelt and heartbreaking book about life and death. 🥺 I’m so glad to have finally read it! I hope you have a great week ahead 🙂

Oh, no!!! That is no way to celebrate a birthday, being sick. I feel like we are finally getting out of sickness hell (I hope). The boys started with a cold last week and now I’m coughing but nothing else. I’m so over sickness! Hopefully, he feels better soon. Oh yeah, it’s such a heartbreaking book!! I loved it but it is definitely a book for a certain mood.
