We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

At this point, I’m kind of stuck on what to read. I’ve not been reading books with much substance this past week but I’ve enjoyed those erotic romance journeys. But I’m not sure if I want to continue on it. I tried picking up a paranormal romance and a fantasy romance but they didn’t click. Here are some titles I’m thinking about maybe trying next:

What are you currently reading?

We’ve somehow entered November and although in my head I know I recently went on holiday, it sure doesn’t feel like it! 😂 The air quality in Jakarta has been awful and my bronchitis has been wreaking havoc on my body which has left me feeling quite exhausted. But after days of feeling extra muggy and glum, it finally rained for a couple of hours last night so today’s heat and humidity feels slightly less oppressive. This weekend has been slow and lazy. I binge-watched (and fully caught up on) Spy x Family and a new anime that I’d never heard of called The Apothecary Diaries. I loved both and want more! If you have any anime recommendations on Netflix, please let me know cos I also have no idea what to watch next. 😃

As I mentioned above, I haven’t been reading much lately and right now I’m not sure what I’m in the mood to read! I did get an email with ARCs for two anticipated 2024 YA fantasy reads so I’m pretty excited about that. 😍 I wish I could settle on a book though, lol.

    • Thanks, Caro! I still haven’t read any of the Spy x Family manga but I do have the first 5 volumes, lol. Is it as similar to the anime in the storyline or does it go more in depth? I’ll have to check out Komi Can’t Communicate! I started two anime since I wrote this—My Happy Marriage (super angsty) and The Misfit of Demon King Academy (but I’m sensing some kinda weird love triangle and it’s nope-ing me out, lol). 😂 I hope you have a good week ahead!

  3. I’m sorry you’re sick. That’s not fun. I hope you feel better soon.
    I am with you on the mood reading thing. I’ve been having a hard time figuring out what to read. There aren’t even a ton of new releases to spark my interest the next week or so.
    I love that TS song!

    • It is definitely no fun being sick 😦 This heat is ridiculous! I keep seeing new releases in both the genres I mainly read but nothing has been capturing my interesting or pulling me to pick it up asap. I did settle on a book in the end but I am reading *very* slowly, lol. I hope you found something good to read though! 😃 And yes, these TS vault tracks have steadily grown on me!

  4. Get better soon Dini – it sucks that we’re both sick and it’s hot here too in Hawaii, not as humid as where you are but definitely not fall weather. We also have a wildfire going on which isn’t helping my cough (it’s 80% contained at least)but yeah not in the mood to read either. Hope you find something good to read!

    • Thanks, Yolanda! I’m glad to hear that the wildfire is slowly getting contained but I can imagine how much that would affect your cough. The pollution here is pretty dang awful as well and it’s back on the nebulizer for me. This heat is too ridiculous and I can only imagine, as the world keeps getting hotter, just how lovely it’ll be in a few years’ time 😂🙃 (excuse my pessimism, lol). Hope you find something good to read as well and I hope you feel better soon!

  6. Oof I’m so sorry about your bronchitis! I heard it’s been really bad there, that people were actually happy it was raining even though it usually herald the flood season ._. I love all the From the Vault tracks for 1989, which is such a rare occasion!
