Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [207]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed finishing My Roommate is A Vampire. I honestly forgot what this was about other than the obvious but it’s been a funny and all-around entertaining read. It is instalove and I admit that I quickly got tired of Cassie’s endless monologuing of just how broad-chested, floppy-haired and good-looking Frederick is. But other than that, I’m enjoying this read!

What are you currently reading?

If you follow me you might have noticed that I didn’t post or engage at all last week because my “treat yourself, besties” holiday ended so quickly and despite being super prepared with posts for the week I was gone, I didn’t prepare anything for after the holiday ended. Oops! 😂 And it’s safe to say that I wasn’t ready for the trip to end! It was so nice hanging out, being lazy, and stepping out of my antisocial comfort zone with my friends. I did a lot more than I thought I would but I also did a lot less of what I thought I’d be doing most of the time; i.e. reading.

By the end of the trip, I was well and truly exhausted and ready for another holiday (haha) but then work immediately pulled me under and I knew I had zero mental capacity to do anything except get through the work week. With all the work I’ve already had to do in the week I’ve been back and the intensity of work that I know is coming in November, it honestly feels like I didn’t go on holiday at all. Was it all a dream? Thankfully I have a few photos to remind me that it did happen, lol.

I didn’t do much reading when I was away but I also didn’t do much reading when I got back from the holiday because work has been such a mental drain already! 🥲 I’m happy to say that I’ve enjoyed the books I’ve been reading though so at least that’s been good.

ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

her name is taylor and she was born in 1989.
this was my favourite album so this was my most anticipated re-recording and i wasn’t disappointed!

say don’t go (taylor’s version) (from the vault) – taylor swift

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

  3. I loved how you described your holiday trip! Sometimes life is so hectic that vacations feel like a fever dream.
I feel like I haven’t had a single day off this year and I look at pictures too just to make sure I went on vacation. LOL
I love your pics, Dini! ❤

  4. […] As expected for the last few months of every year, October passed in a blur. I blinked and it was time for my two-week holiday with besties, then I blinked again and the holiday was over, I back to work feeling like I never had a break to begin with and it’s now November. How? I had a great time on my holiday that passed by too quickly and it was such a busy (but fun!) time that I felt like I needed a holiday post-holiday… I feel so spoiled saying that but it’s true, lol! 😂 I’m sharing three pictures here but you can find more in my Sunday post.
