Sundays in Bed With… #MyWeeklyWrapUp [195]

We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending the rest of my Sunday night in bed reading A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab. This is the final book in the series that Becky and I are buddy reading and it’s immediately my favourite! All the things are happening! 🤯

What are you currently reading?

It’s been a pretty low-key week. Work is work, I’ve been trying to find job openings and oof, that’s frustrating and tiring! 😂 Back to the whole cycle again next week, yay. Lol.

My parents got back this weekend and it’s nice to have the house feel full again. I’ve been living alone in this too-big house for months on end now and while I enjoy my quiet and alone time, it’s great to have them back. We went to an all-you-can-eat Japanese tepanyaki place for lunch and it was amazing!

I’ve been gaming a lot still and I finished Wytchwood this weekend. It was a fun and cosy (albeit slightly morbid and dark) crafting adventure game! I’m also still playing Cozy Grove and it’s a daily life-sim game so I’m making bits of progress every day. It’s so cosy but also super heartbreaking. If you’re looking for some cosy games, definitely check these out and if you have any cosy recs, please share! 😍

I’m making slow and steady progress through books and engaging with blogs again. It feels nice to get back into it plus, I’ve also started writing a couple of reviews too so YAY! It felt good to be this productive for the blog again! 🥰

ICYMI here’s what I posted this week:

Of course, I’m listening to TS! I wasn’t vibing with this album at first but wow, it has grown on me!

mine (taylor’s version) – taylor swift

I really hope you’re all doing okay and treating yourself with care. Let’s have a great week ahead! 💜

  1. I felt like same way about Speak Now (TV)! The first listen through I was underwhelmed. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. I’m glad your family is back to keep you company. Good luck with the job search.

    • This was actually my first full listen through of SNTV because I didn’t want to go back and listen to the album and give money to *that guy*. It’s growing on me more and more now and I’ve woken up two days in a row with Speak Now and Mean on repeat in my head 😂 I’m still letting the vault tracks sink in but I’m liking them too. What’s your favourite track on it? Have a great week ahead, Deanna!

      • I know what you mean! I haven’t streamed any of the ones she doesn’t own. I have listened to it a ton in the past – I had the CD when it was originally released. I don’t know what my favorite is. Probably Enchanted or Last Kiss. But I love Speak Now, Mean, Back to December and Long Live. The vault tracks are growing on me. I still think they are the weakest vault tracks, though.

  2. I haven’t read that series yet by V.E. Schwab but I am sure I will eventually. My favorite album from TS was always Speak Now. I am so happy with the Taylor Version and love all of the vault songs! I got the fancy Vinyl edition.

  3. Good luck with your job search, Dini! It’s such a stressful and frustrating process but totally worth it since you’re not loving your job. I hope you find something soon!

  4. I never *loved* Speak Now as one of Swift’s “best” albums, but I have really enjoyed rediscovering songs like ‘Mine’ and ‘Enchanted,’ both of which are always favorites, and I love that this album is more in her storytelling, soft genre of music vs. some of her “harsher” songs on recent albums. So in that way, I do love this one. 🙂
