I’ll be spending my Sunday evening in bed reading Thorn by Intisar Khanani. I’m glad I’m finally reading this as it’s been on my TBR for ages, plus it’s also one of my 12 Book Challenge recommendations (from Julie)! I’m buddy-reading this with Leslie and we’re both enjoying it so far. It’s more slice-of-life than I expected but it’s a nice change of pace from my previous grimdark fantasy read, lol.
What are you currently reading?
Time has been getting away from me. I can’t believe it’s already June! There are always so many things I want to do and never get around to actually doing for various reasons—the biggest ones for me are that I’m lazy and I’m too into gaming right now. 😂 Finally met my second-favourite NPC (Sidon) in the game!
On books: I finally finished The Burning God by R.F. Kuang yesterday morning and what a ride! I’m so glad I read it with a group because it was dark and although it wasn’t my favourite and I think I have to let it sit with me a little longer, I do think overall that it was a fitting conclusion to the series. I need to start reading more but I’m truly enjoying gaming too much, lol.
On blogging: I’ve been slacking with blogging. I didn’t even realise that I didn’t post anything yesterday (Saturday) and it only hit me as I was preparing this post. I think a hiatus is coming on sooner than I expected but let’s see how next week goes.

Looking forward to your review of Thorn! I used to see it frequently in Kindle’s monthly deals…haven’t seen it lately, or I’m not diving deep enough into their deals. But it looks appealing and that cover is gorg. Enjoy!

Gaming eats time more than reading I think! There’s loads of games I want to finish/try but I know all my books will get abandoned for weeks!
