#TopTenTuesday: First 10 Books I Grabbed Off My Shelf

We’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is The First 10 Books I Randomly Grabbed from My Shelf (close your eyes and touch/grab/point to 10 random titles and tell us what they are! And tell us what you thought if you’ve read them!)

This was a fun one to do especially since I just recently finished redoing my shelves a couple of weeks ago! I stood in front of my shelves and spun around with my eyes closed and followed wherever my finger landed! I’m calling myself out a little bit with this week’s post because out of the 10 books I randomly grabbed, I’ve only read one. Whoops! 😂

Stack of 10 books (top to bottom): Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor, Spells for Lost Things by Jenna Evans Welch, I Must Betray You by Ruta Sepetys, Gilded by Marissa Meyer, Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, Izzy at the End of the World by K.A. Reynolds, The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden, Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson, The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai, Lies We Sing to the Sea by Sarah Underwood

Lies We Sing to the Sea by Sarah Underwood – unread
The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai – unread
Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson – unread
The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden – unread
Izzy At the End of the World by K.A. Reynolds – unread
Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus – unread
Gilded by Marissa Meyer – unread
I Must Betray You – Ruta Sepetys – unread
Spells for Lost Things by Jenna Evans Welch – unread
Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor – read

Do you have any of these books on your shelf? Have you read them or are they also on your endless TBR? 😂

  1. Great choices! The only one I have is The Bear and the Nightingale. The others will probably go on the TBR if they aren’t already there. P.S. I really love the illustrations on your page. 🙂 Super cute!

    • I saw that there’s gonna be a show but I actually have no idea when it comes out! I guess I’ll say I want to read it before the show too but I’ll probably not end up watching it (or reading it on time, lol)! 😂 I’m terrible like that, lol. I hope you enjoy it whenever you pick it up though, Becky!

  2. I loved Lessons In Chemistry – that was so fun but also with a lot of really serious stuff that I felt was done well. I read Daughter of Smoke & Bone but honestly, it was so long ago now that I don’t really remember any of it.

    • I’ve heard only amazing things about Lessons in Chemistry so I’m keen to pick it up. Glad to hear that the series topics were done well 😃 I also read DoSaB years ago and don’t remember much of it other than thinking it was great, lol. I do hope to re-read it soon and hopefully, I’ll still enjoy it!

  3. The Bear and the Nightingale and I Must Betray You are two that I definitely recommend, they were both wonderful reads. I started Furiously Happy, but it just wasn’t what I was looking for. I hope you enjoy them all Dini. Will the day ever come when we read all the books on our shelves?? 😁🤷‍♀️

  4. I thought this was such a fun prompt, too! I’ve only read 2 of your books: Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Spells for Lost Things, which I really enjoyed. I hope you get to pick up the rest of these soon! Happy reading, Dini!
