#WWWWednesday: 18 January 2023

Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:

  1. What did you read last?
  2. What are you currently reading?
  3. What will you read next?

Work has been super busy so I’ve only managed to finish two books this past week but they were both 4-star and 5-star reads, so yay! I also discovered a new favourite YA contemporary. I adored it to bits! 😍

Book cover: Seven Percent of Ro Devereux by Ellen O'Clover

This was a beautifully crafted historical fiction debut. I loved the view point the author presents and in addition to being poetically written, this was also educational and illuminating. [CHECK OUT MY REVIEW]

This YA coming-of-age was fantastic! This was an all-nighter, one-sitting read for me and I couldn’t recommend it more. I loved Ro and Miller and all the friendships and relationships in this book. Ro’s growth was *chefs kiss!*

  • The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang β†’ 29% β†’ This is a re-read that I’m buddy reading with Julie, Chris and Joanna. I forgot how much I love Rin and Kitay and this brutal story! I can’t wait to finish the series this year.
  • (ARC) Spice Road by Maiya Ibrahim β†’ 2% β†’ I was supposed to start this yesterday but I knocked out before I could read a word! I’m buddy-reading this with Leslie and I’m excited to start right after this πŸ™‚

The magic of ✨mood reading✨ means it could be any of these. But I’m also buddy-reading a few!

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends! 😍

  1. My library needs to get in Seven Percent of Ro Devereux by Ellen O’Clover so I can get to it! I’m reading like four books at the moment but feel like I am trucking along with The Poppy War. I am at 25%.
