We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I spent a chunk of my Sunday reading Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. I’ve had this book on my shelf for years and the several attempts I’ve made to read it before have led nowhere until, quite possibly, now. I forgot that I had the audiobook so I’m reading along to that and it’s helped a lot! That first bit was ✨rough✨ but so far, I’m feeling glad that I powered through.
📖 SYNOPSIS
Six interlocking lives – one amazing adventure. In a narrative that circles the globe and reaches from the 19th century to a post-apocalyptic future, Cloud Atlas erases the boundaries of time, genre and language to offer an enthralling vision of humanity’s will to power, and where it will lead us.
What are you currently reading?

Nothing of note really happened this week. Other than work… Well, no, there wasn’t much else outside of work. 😂 I baked for the first time in months today and my crispy chocolate chip cookies ended up more chewy (oops) but they’re still yummy enough for me!
I had a couple calls with my besties in New Delhi, Bristol and Melbourne this week with plenty of exciting and also sad news as one friend announced her (first) pregnancy and another friend (in a different call) announced her divorce. Life is… I don’t know, life? One thing is for sure though, I’m extremely grateful for the people that have stuck around through the incredibly joyful and sad bad times throughout the years. Countless people have come and gone in my life but these girls, they’re my forever people. 💜

Aside from late nights working, I’ve also had a couple of late nights reading! I buddy-read what ended up being a new favourite with one of my favourites, Leslie, and although she didn’t love it as much as I did (understandably so) and I was also. aterrible buddy-reader this time, I’m so glad we decided to pick up Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow together! Also, I’ve officially read over 200 books now—what?! I still can’t believe it either, lol. 😂
ICYMI, here’s what I posted on the blog this week:

Congrats on all the books you read this year. I’m super impressed you are reading Cloud Atlas. I don’t think I could get myself to.
There is nothing like good friends. I was lucky to spend some time with one of mine this weekend. We had some good talks about true friends and the whole thing reenergized me. I’m glad you got some of that as well.

I know I’m so very thankful for my forever friends. Glad you got in some great conversation time. My fam is all about the chewy over the crispy chocolate chip cookies, so that would have been a win for us. LOL! Hope you have a great week!!
