We’re back with another Sundays in Bed With… meme! This meme dares to ask you what book has been in your bed this morning and is hosted by Midnight Book Girl. Come share what book you’ve spent your time curled up reading in bed with or which book you wish you had time to read today!

I’ll be spending my Sunday in bed with Witches Get Stitches by Juliette Cross. I’m on a roll with this Stay a Spell series and this is the third of six! I don’t know why I’m in such a paranormal romance reading mood since it’s not my usual but I’m enjoying the heck out of this series. It’s comforting, fun, and mostly “no thoughts, just vibes” (and I don’t mean that negatively at all!) and it’s perfect for me right now!
📖 SYNOPSIS
Violet Savoie has a plan. A dream, rather. To open her own tattoo shop, which caters to supernaturals in need of permanent charms. As a powerful Seer, she has the potent magic to cast every kind of spell. Except the kind to give werewolves control over their beastly side. And her business partner Nico needs help in the worst kind of way.
Nico Cruz has a secret. A motive, rather. To subtly stalk and seduce Violet until she finally recognizes they are fated to be together. Ever since their heated encounter in Austin on New Year’s Eve two years earlier, he’s been dying to get his hands—and his tongue—back on her body. He knows a woman like Violet can’t be courted in the usual way. Luckily, Nico has no scruples about misbehaving to get what he wants.
But when his former pack roams into town, and an old friend is far too interested in Violet, his focus shifts to the threat venturing into his territory. Nico may come across as the quiet, broody one, but the intruders are about to regret stepping foot in New Orleans. And when Violet goes missing, no charm or spell can keep Nico’s wolf at bay.

This week was all about getting through and recovering from COVID. I’m still left with slight congestion, limited taste/smell and a deep chest cough, plus I’m feeling so tired, but other than that, I’m feeling much better than last week! 😂 I’m also feeling a lot more clear-headed today and just in time too because I’m fully back to work tomorrow and it’s incredibly busy! I had planned to do some work today to prep but I really don’t have the energy for it so I’ll (hopefully) just get up earlier tomorrow. This past week feels like it passed by so slowly but so quickly and we’ve already passed MID-November! MID! How did this happen?!

I feel like I’ve been reading a lot lately which has been great. I try to write my reviews as soon as I finish a book (or at least by the next morning) because that’s when my thoughts on it are clearest and I’m proud to say that I’ve stayed pretty on top of writing reviews for the books I’ve finished. YAY! 🥳

I hope you’ve all had a good weekend and that you have a great week ahead! Take care of yourselves and of each other, friends 🖤

Well that’s good news that you are feeling better. It’s a lingering virus with such a spectrum of symptoms for everyone. I hope all goes well with your return to real life tomorrow.

Yeah, everyone really does experience it differently. I’ll be going to the doctor tomorrow to get something done about my cough—hopefully, it won’t linger too long!

That still doesn’t sound fun with the remaining symptoms. I wish covid would go away. 😦

I’m so glad you are feeling better. Hang in there and don’t try to do too much. Coughs last forever. Have a good week!

Thanks, Tessa! I am taking it easier than I was before I got sick and it’s taking a minute—the cough is especially irritating though. I hope you’re having a good week so far as well!

I don’t know how I’d never heard of this series before but I’m really enjoying it. Mind you, each book has gotten progressively steamier than the one before but the small town vibes, sister relationships and romance makes it such a cosy read. 😃 I hope you enjoy it if you give it a try! Hope you’re doing okay too, Joanna! 💜

I usually just gloss over the steamy moments so it’s not a big deal as long as the book isn’t entirely full of it. 😅

Haha, okay, it’s definitely not *full* of it but the later books definitely do have a lot more than the first one 😂 BUT still, SO much fun! I This author writes such great chemistry and tension! 😍 I hope you enjoy the books if you pick them up!
