#TopTenTuesday: November Possibilities… Sorta!

So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is actually Favorite “Aww” Moments In Books (Share those sweet/cute moments in books that give you warm fuzzies.).

But I’m going rogue today because as fun as that topic sounds, I’m really not feeling it right now. I’m running on COVID brain and I have very little capacity, so instead, I’ll be listing ten books that I hope to read this month. I guess you can say this is a monthly TBR or even a possibility pile for November but I’m not even great with those these days. That said, I’m that I’ll get around to finally picking these books up this month cos I feel like maybe I’ve been saying that about most of these books for a while now…

This Vicious Grace by Emily Thiede
Maggie Moves On by Lucy Score
When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain by Nghi Vo
Funny Feelings by Tarah Dewitt
The Princess and the Player by Ilsa Madden-Mills

The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin
The Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty
A Ghost in Shining Armor by Therese Beharrie*
Fifteen Hundred Miles from the Sun by Jonny Garza Villa
Shipped by Angie Hockman

*I actually already started reading this and I’m struggling a bit so I’m hoping to finish it at some point this month (unless I DNF it).

Have you read any of these books? Are you a mood reader like me and can barely stick to a possibility pile or do you set fixed TBRs? How are you doing with your reading so far?

  1. The only book I’ve read is Kingdom of Copper which I loved! I’ve heard good things about When the Tiger Came Down the Mountain (this cover!!) and This Vicous Grace though! Best of luck with your possibility pile and I hope you enjoy them!

    • On the mend! *THANKS FOR THE HUGS!* Ooh, I heard Fikry was super emotional. I think I could maybe do with something a little emotional so I’m definitely going to see about picking that up soon. Glad to hear the ones you’ve read were all well rated though! 😍

  2. I wrote down Lucy Score’s name the other day and I think I put one of her books in my shopping cart. She sounds exactly like the kind of writer I like! I also really enjoyed The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry. I hope you like it! I’m so sorry you’re not feeling well with Covid … I hope you get better soon!

    • I’ve only read one book by her so far, her very popular one that was released earlier this year, and I really enjoyed it so I’m looking forward to seeing if she can be a new romance fave! I’ve heard a lot of good things about Fikry so I’m keen to pick that up soon and then maybe watch the movie! 😍 And thank you, COVID was as horrible as they say but I’m feeling much better now 🙂

    • Thanks, Lindsey! Possibility piles are much kinder to us mood readers but I’m still terrible at picking from those piles! 😂 I’m glad to hear you enjoyed Shipped, I’m hoping to read it for my POPSUGAR challenge so fingers crossed I’ll get to it! 🤞🏽

  3. I’m so sorry to hear Covid caught up with you! Covid brain was the worst! I hope you’re feeling much better. I’ve only read The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry, and I just read it recently for the movie tie-in release. It was very charming, but emotional! Several of your other books are on my tbr, as well. Happy reading in November!
