Hello friends, I’m back today with another month’s edition for The Birthstone Book Covers series created by one of my favourites, Leslie. She created this at the start of 2022 and was born out of her curiosity about birthstone colours and it’s a fun way to show different book covers/titles corresponding to that month’s birthstone.

The Rules
- Mention the creator (Leslie @ Books Are The New Black ) and link back to me so I can see your post!
- Pick 5+ book covers that match the current month’s Birthstone.
- HAVE FUN!
- Nominate people if you want!

October has two birthstones: Opal and Tourmaline, but for this post, I’ve decided to focus on the Pink Tourmaline.
This is such a pretty colour and I love the shades of pink, and I think I can find a nice range of covers that fit it from my TBR list! So, let’s see if I’m right…

A Pho Love Story by Loan Le
Lovely War by Julie Berry
The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White
Call It What You Want by Brigid Kemmerer
The Two Lives of Lydia Bird by Josie Silver

The Rearranged Life of Oona Lockhart by Margarita Monitmore
The Surprising Power of A Good Dumpling by Wai Chim
The Girl He Used to Know by Tracey Garvis Graves
How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie
Luck of the Draw by Kate Clayborn

That’s it for the October birthstone book covers. Happy birthday to all the October babies! 💙 Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR?

Love your choices, they are so good!! I just got an “opal” ring to wear since it’s Chris’s stone but I wish it had pink with it and not clear around it. Such good options for a stone! He doesn’t think so though. haha!!

Ooh, imagine an opal ring with pink tourmaline lining around it? That would be so so gorgeous, I agree 😍 Haha, Chris, you’re lucky to have such pretty birthstone colours! 😂

Right?! How does this not exist?! I mean it probably does but it’s super expensive. haha.

I honestly can’t believe I haven’t read that book yet. I just feel like I need to gear myself up to feel ALL THE FEELS while reading it and that keeps making me hesitate. 😂 I have heard great things about it though!

This is my birthstone. I like the opal better, but I can see why you chose the other one. Look at all those great books. Lydia Bird gutted me. It was pretty sad up until almost the bitter end.

Ooh, it’s such a pretty birthstone, Sam! But opal is very pretty too 😍 I still need to read Lydia Bird but I have heard that it’s quite an emotionally intense story (I mean, I already get that from the premise, lol).
