So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is actually a freebie and so I decided to do a topic that I don’t think I’ve done before: One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I Read (submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ ’bout Books)
I was pretty excited to see this week’s topic because I thought it’d be a fun challenge for someone that’s as wordy as I am! 😂 I have to admit that it was tougher than I expected to find the right review word for some of these but I think I’m happy with what I’ve got now. I’m gonna keep this intro short and sweet and I’ll dive right into it!

impossible by darcy burke
wanting
the empress of salt and fortune by nghi vo

GALLANT BY V.E. SCHWAB

BEAUTY AND THE BALLER BY ILSA MADDEN-MILLS

BURNING UP BY TARA WYATT

swoontastic!!!

Well, that was fun! 🙂 What do you think of these one-word reviews—are you enticed or will you pass up on these reads? Did you struggle with today’s one-word review prompt or did it come easily to you?

I struggled big time with the prompt!! I thought it was going to be easy but I just couldn’t find a single word to capture what I thought of the book! I think you did a really good job with yours! I could tell exactly what you meant by each one! 🙂 And “swoontastic” is awesome

Great list. You came up with such great one-word reviews. I also found the exercise harder than expected but had a lot of fun with this week’s prompt.

I think we all had tat same problem, Dini. I can never be short. Elaborate, long, whatever. But not short. Still, I managed. Somehow. 😉

Swoontastic is a great word! I’m seeing Gallant a lot today but yours is the first that doesn’t sound like a negative.

It’s interesting how just one word can spike my curiosity. You chose “chemistry” and now I feel like I need to read that book to feel it.

SWOONTASTIC. Good word. I thought this was a fun activity though I had a hard time limiting myself to just one word (and sort of failed at it a few times.) One Word Reviews

Beauty and the Baller really was surprising. My experiences with Madden-Mills have been great, but this was above and beyond what I expected. Funny, sweet, and touching.

I always tend to write too much too, so this is definitely a fun challenge! Really want to re-do this topic again at some point because I like to think I could use only ONE word where I didn’t this week. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Dini! Appreciate this.

I saw someone else list Gallant as slow, so together y’all give it slow and haunting. I have no idea what it’s about, but it sounds about right for Schwab.
