#TopTenTuesday: One-Word Reviews For My Last 10 Reads

So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is actually a freebie and so I decided to do a topic that I don’t think I’ve done before: One-Word Reviews for the Last Ten Books I Read (submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ ’bout Books)

I was pretty excited to see this week’s topic because I thought it’d be a fun challenge for someone that’s as wordy as I am! 😂 I have to admit that it was tougher than I expected to find the right review word for some of these but I think I’m happy with what I’ve got now. I’m gonna keep this intro short and sweet and I’ll dive right into it!

Well, that was fun! 🙂 What do you think of these one-word reviews—are you enticed or will you pass up on these reads? Did you struggle with today’s one-word review prompt or did it come easily to you?

  1. I struggled big time with the prompt!! I thought it was going to be easy but I just couldn’t find a single word to capture what I thought of the book! I think you did a really good job with yours! I could tell exactly what you meant by each one! 🙂 And “swoontastic” is awesome

  2. I think we all had tat same problem, Dini. I can never be short. Elaborate, long, whatever. But not short. Still, I managed. Somehow. 😉

    My TTT this week.

  3. It was a little difficult, but overall it was FUN! Great job, Dini! I’ve definitely added a couple of books to my TBR bc of your reviews!

  4. Ooo, swoontastic might be a new favorite word!!! Haha!! Yes, Gallant is totally haunting! The cover for Beauty and the Baller cover is sooo good!! 😍

  5. I always tend to write too much too, so this is definitely a fun challenge! Really want to re-do this topic again at some point because I like to think I could use only ONE word where I didn’t this week. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland, Dini! Appreciate this.

  6. I saw someone else list Gallant as slow, so together y’all give it slow and haunting. I have no idea what it’s about, but it sounds about right for Schwab.

  7. You did so well with these! I wasn’t so successful at keeping it down to one word. I have been wanting to read The Tea Master and the Detective for some time now. The Empress of Salt and Fortune sounds good too.

  8. Oooh, very nice word choices! Swoontastic needs to be a word we use more often. 😉 And I’m all about angsty so I’ll be checking that book out!
