So, we’re back with another Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week is actually a freebie and so I decided to do a topic that I don’t think I’ve done before: Books with [Diamond Birthstone Colour] On the Cover (Pick a thing (a color, an item, a place, an animal, a scripty font, a sexy person, etc.) and share covers that have that thing on the cover.)

Since this week’s topic is somewhat of a cover “freebie” I decided to combine The Birthstone Book Covers series created by one of my favourite bloggers and perhaps my closest blogger friend, Leslie @Books are the New Black. This is a series she created at the start of the year and so far, I haven’t had the chance to jump on it, until now! This series was born out of Leslie’s curiosity about birthstone colours and it’s a fun way to show different book covers/titles corresponding to that month’s birthstone colour.
April’s birthstone is the diamond and I could’ve kept it simple for myself and stuck to white covers but for some reason whenever I think of a diamond I think of shades of silver/grey? So I tried to find cover colours that I thought matched that shade and ngl, it was a bit of a struggle! 😂 They’re not perfect matches but I did come up with a list of ten and it’s a mix of books I’ve read and books on my TBR. Without further ado, let’s get to it.

Books on my TBR…

On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous
Frankenstein
Onyx and Ivory
Malice
Girls with Sharp Sticks

Books I’ve read…

Skin of the Sea
Between Shades of Gray
Year One
Spinning Silver
Given to Darkness

What’s your birthstone? What covers can you think of with this shade of diamond? 😂 Have you read any of these books or are they on your TBR too?

What a lovely and unique theme!

Yours is a fun take on TTT! I have Malice on my tbr as well but it is a chonky book, lol. My birthstone is garnet and I would pick Tiger Queen by Ann Sullivan.

Fun idea! And the diamond would be a tricky one to go with. My birthstone is Topaz for November and it’s usually a dark shade of golden-yellow, almost orange. Thanks for sharing.

My birthstone is the emerald! I get lots of green covers for my month LOL. I’ve read absolutely zero of those books, but a couple are on my TBR!

Love that you went for grays and that icy cold color because wowwww do they all look fab when stacked together. I feel like it’s much more dynamic this way then just white covers! The birthstone posts sound so fascinating, I can’t wait to check them out. Thanks!

Ooo! Fun choices here. I love that you went diamond birthstone. I wouldn’t have thought of that descriptor. I’m so boring I would have just thought “white”. But I love what you did here. Pretty covers.

Great idea for a theme! I might have to steal it for my own birthstone at some point! For a colour that’s sometimes seen as boring, all these greys look incredible together!

These are lovely. Silver/gray books always have a kind of sophistication to them.

What a cool take on this week’s topic! I haven’t read any of these, but I do have Roberts’ Year One sitting on my shelf ready and waiting. 🙂

This is a fun spin. Birthstone covers. Mine is opal which I think can pull in greens and pinks. This is a first! I have read none of the books you featured. They all do fit the diamond theme well though.

Loved your take on this series! Silver grey is a hard one to think of

These look so pretty, I would have probably gone for rainbow colours because of the way diamonds refract light, but I think these look better!

OK, I had no idea about birthstones, and may I add — this is a wonderful and very striking theme. I love the cover for Onyx and Ivory!

Nice idea about the birthstones. I must have a look what mine is. And you found a good selection of the colours.
Thanks for visiting my TTT this week which has books with maps on the cover.

Mine is Sapphire, so I reckon I could quite easily find a lot of books with that colour, dark blue is quite a common colour to find on book covers. I’ve only read Between Shades of Grey, but I loved that book, it has the distinguished honour of being one of only two books to ever make me outwardly cry (I get emotional at books but I hardly ever actually cry).

This is so fun! My birthstone is aquamarine (at least it was before they changed it I think). I don’t think I can think of any books with that colour on the cover
