Hello, hello and welcome back to another episode of WWW Wednesday, a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World of Words, which means I’ll be answering these questions:
- What did you read last?
- What are you currently reading?
- What will you read next?

Since last week I’ve read five books. Romances continue to dominate my reads but I managed to finish two fantasies as well, one of which has become one of my favourites (so far) this year!

(ARC) One-Timer (Carolina Comets #3) by Teagan Hunter ★★★¾
Hunter never fails to make me laugh and gave me the good vibes I wanted when I read it. It wasn’t perfect but the overall chemistry and banter were fantastic! 👏🏽 Check out my review
The Beast of Beswick by Amalie Howard ★★★★☆
I saw Beauty and the Beast retelling and immediately scooped it up cos I’m a sucker for them! This engaged me right from the beginning and I was invested in both their stories. The chemistry between these strong-willed opposites was explosive—talk about steamy! 🔥
(ARC) The Rigid Duke by Darcy Burke ★★★☆☆
At less than 100 pages, this was more of a fluffy, steamy ‘instalove’ romance that wasn’t strong on plot or character development. While not my favourite by Burke, still enjoyable enough as a palette cleanser! Check out my review
Accused (The KC Warlock Weekly #1) by M.N. Jolley ★★★½
This was a fast-paced urban fantasy mystery that captured my interest from the beginning. I wish the world and characters had been slightly better developed though! Check out my review
A Magic Steeped in Poison (The Book of Tea #1) by Judy I. Lin ★★★★★
Introducing one of my favourite reads (so far) this year—wow, I absolutely loved this book and the inside is just as gorgeous as this stunning cover is. The writing completely swept me up and immersed me in a story that’s rich in folklore, has compelling characters and such a unique magic system. My only gripe is that the cliffhanger ending should be ILLEGAL! 😭 I was not ready for how invested I’d become. My review and journal spread goes up tomorrow!

I’m currently not reading anything! I haven’t had time to choose my next read yet but these are some options I’m thinking of (I think I’ll do a romance palette cleanser before starting on my next tour read): Those Three Little Words by Meghan Quinn, Love, Comment, Subscribe by Cathy Yardley, and This Rebel Heart by Katherine Locke.

All of these are ARCs so they’re gonna get read at some point in the next week(ish)!

What’re you currently reading? Have you read any of these books or are they also on your TBR? Happy reading, friends! 😍

Fantasy for the win! I hope you don’t have to wait too long for Lin’s follow-up. Cliffhangers are the worst

The next book in the series actually also comes out this year (there’s a cover and blurb for it and everything). It’s gonna be a 5-month wait, which will feel like forever, but YAY THIS YEAR! Haha, I’m so excited 😂 Cliffies are truly the worst!

I saw one of my fave romance recommenders reading that on Twitter last week and I’ve been seeing so many people talking about Yardley’s latest release (Gouda Friends) and I got very curious. They’re both on KU if you have it!
